I have been looking around the net for articles about why DSR scaling to 4k looks crystal clear on my 1080p monitor but DSR 1440 looks like smudge and blur from hell.   I read talk that it's a perfect multiplication of 2 that makes the 4k scaled look clear?  And 4k will scale down to 1080p for the same reasons?   Does that sound right?

Well 1920 by 1080 is 1/4 the pixels.

If DSR used Integer scaling, or the like, the 4:1 ratio would be perfect, though exactly how Nvidia's DSR works I'm unclear on. Though my understanding of how the scaling really works is limited.
