Well with the ES AD102-450-A1 32k cuda core card cancelled, yes the ES card was very real reviewers finally got the chip model leaked to them. So I'm the greatest bullcrap artist in history with great guessing, am a time traveler or know people. I will stick with time traveler to keep it interesting. I do agree with the why it was cancelled, but man that thing was really the real beyond fast..
Then AMD not bringing anything to the table on the 4090 performance end the 26k cuda core ES card ASUS was working on got canned as well no point.

I did try to get a Nvidia 4090 founders edition sadly we have had zero that I have seen in West Palm Beach FL, the only card Bestbuy will not ship from another store from the 40 series. Already saw the 4090 TI ES for retail and the MSRP's from the same sources I saw all the other cards. I hope pricing changes who knows what will happen between now and then.

I broke down saw the ASUS Rog Strix OC RTX 4090 for 1999.99 in my city and jumped on it. Found out though Bestbuy support it was a bug on their website so they had to ship it from another store. Should have it on Tuesday, still would have rather had a founders at MSRP. Wish it was EVGA, that sendoff video was amazing by gamers nexus. Sadly that is not an option, could not get my hands on a founders locally. So my first ASUS card in nearly two decades.

Well the Cablemod 90-degree adapter won't do it, I need a new case or a vertical mount...

Well colored me impressed at 3440x1440 on this card it does smoke my 3090 TI at this resolution same settings no frame generation. I think the 42 fps was when the bench loaded I didn't see it on the bench fps counter or on afterburner's OSD.

Honestly I feel the same from a 3080 TI on my AW3423DWF. In COD MW2 comp I was getting 350-400 FPS on native res 🤣

Sadly I need to move to DDR5, probably going with an ASUS Rog Strix Z790 with better memory leads its like the 500 dollar board, DDR5 7200-8000mhz and a 13900KS since its binned and when its not pushed to 6ghz it will normally run cooler than a 13900k. Didn't touch the memory on the card yet so once everything is situated and upgraded the fun can begin. my 12900kf with DDR4 4000mhz CL16 b-die in gear 1 is being a bit stressed with this 4090... dropped my cpu score a good chunk.

Not sure what you're expecting out of DDR5, but my Strix Z690 D4 B-die 4100 CL17 setup G1 on my 12900k 5.2 all core still outpaced an MSI Unify-X Z690 setup I tried with DDR5 CL34 7400 which is where my 12900k (original launch) gave up the ghost on its IMC. Testing runs in WoW and FO76 at 4k both setups were bottle necking my 4090. My DDR4 setup actually did better.
 
Only step at that point was to invest in a 13900k/ks to push the memory faster or just return the MB, sell the memory at no loss and just settle into the 12900k and wait for the fall RPL refresh.
 
I'll be interested to see how moving to a 13900ks and DDR5 will help and if it is worth it. I'd recommend a Dark Z690, Unify-X Z690 or various 2-dimm Z790 boards if you want to empty the wallet to really push that memory higher vs the 4-dimm Z790 Strix board.

That's a ton of money for a couple FPS at best , My wife's rig is a 13900k with DDR4 CL14 still at 3600 and it will CP 93 fps with a 3090ti and same setting your running , I cant say what my 4090 does because it running 3x screens at 7680x1440/   It might throw a better number in Synthetic's but not sure its worth it right now, and with memory controllers on these 13900 being erratic, you could buy 7200- 8000 and never get to run it , I am waiting myself to see what comes next, and if rumors turn out , 14th gen may be a 13th refresh and be more power efficient and maybe 8k mem might actually run stable by then.

So anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I've noticed higher frequency ram making a difference with minimum frames per second. I was kinda wondering about that and started looking at different videos a few months ago, but I ended up forgetting about it. Anyone have an insight on that?
 
Yes, I also keep seeing articles about Raptor refresh hitting later this year.
