I keep reading so many posts from people giving out about the queue system and scalpers. Only for them to then say they are in 6 or more different queues for top skus. Shirley(surely) they are part of the problem with long queues. Some may pass on the cards they don't really want, and yet queued for, but I bet a lot buy the cards they don't want and then sell them privately while waiting on the card they actually do want. Therefore taking cards away from people who have queued for the ONE card they actually want/need

Theoretically it shouldn't matter how many SKUs you're in line for as long as you're limited to only one item per account. You can simply pass on the item you don't want when you get the notification, so nothin is lost. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong

Build in Progress:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: RTX3080 or 3080ti  <----
Motherboard: Aorus Elite x570
RAM: 2x16GB (32GB) G.Skill Trident Z
PSU: NZXT C850 Gold
AIO: NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm
SSD: WD Black 1TB

I'm among those to que for all 3070/3080. However people do that to have better odds of getting that 1 card, it's not like i'm getting one to resell and wait for that 1 3080 sku i want. If i get 1 card, any of those i'm done, gonna cancel all other notifications.

Still struggling with my old 970 :D

There is quite a difference in price and also performance between 3070/3080. Would you really be satisfied by 3070 if 3080 was the one you really wanted. Or could you afford the extra price of top 3080 sku if a midrange 3070 was what you were after in the beginning? Just doesn't seem to make sense for either the consumer or the seller to allow you to be in multiple queues

I'll do one better. I'll be happy with any one of the following, whichever one I can get first at MSRP: 3070, 3070 Ti, 3080, 3080 Ti, or 3090 FE. However, if I get a 3070 or a 3070 Ti first, I will still try to get the other ones. However, if I get a 3080, 3080 Ti, or a 3090 first, I'm cancelling everything else.

I would love to see the graphic card makers to force/making stores sell their products at MSRP prices...Im tired (pissed) seeing cards being sold for 2.5x the MSRP prices...

Supplies may have a contract requirement that the store sell it at MSRP (think Harley Davis), but they almost never have a requirement that they can't sell it ABOVE MS(suggested)RP.

And the legal doctrine of first sale says that once a person has got their hot little hands on one of these things, they can do with it as they will.  Ebay, here they come...

Yes, I think EVGA should offer up items to the long-term customers first.  Those of us that have been with them since the early 2000s in specific.  My first product registration was 15 years ago, so I really support offering first dibs to long-term customers.

I'm quite happy with the measures that EVGAs taken in prevent bots/scalpers, I feel like the queue was pretty reasonable for all the people that got on it early on for all the other releases (considering the GPU landscape rn), so the addition of elite should really make things go quite a bit smoother, at least that's what I hope.

I'm aware of performance and price difference and yes i would satisfied by either of those since i'm currently on 970 that is old and slow, hell i would even consider 3090 if there was an option close to msrp even tho i have no use for such a card (plan is 1440p gaming).

Still struggling with my old 970 :D

Im really glad that there is a limit of only one GPU per consumer. In the end the queue system is the most fair way to make it possible for people to get their hands on the hardware. We shall see what the future brings... I personally hope to get a GPU within the next 3 months. Fingers crossed I get it cuz thats the only piece missing in my new setup.

They ship to Canada, just be prepared for some extra cost in terms of taxes/duties, and I believe they ship UPS who impart their own fees as well.

Demand is too high. What EVGA is doing will definitely improve your chances, but keep your expectations low so that the possible disappointment hurts less.

are they really going to work? i mean address check up for avoiding multiple purchase are good, but they should do the same with the payment method, they can simply have or register it to multiple adresses.

Most people would have multiple cards they could use too. There are unfortunately workarounds for these checks but at least EVGA is trying to help.

EVGA is one of the best for quality and costumer support! Keep up the good work. I am staying positive on purchasing a 3080ti :) gonna be sweet once I get a VR headset to go with it.

This doers suck as I feel like it has resulted in a lot of people creating accounts just to add more posts to the Forums, regardless of content.

I am guilty of that, but only because I can't get the password recovery email to my account which actually qualifies for the Elite Member (I received that email.)

I have purchased 7+ Evga pc components, 2 power supplies, 2 graphics cards, and 3 motherboards in the last few years. I would say half qualify for the program, but I can not use there registration numbers because they have already been registered to the older account.

Yeah, I am after a 3080ti myself.

I had tried to get into VR gaming a couple years back but the equipment just wasn't strong enough for my tastes, I was only using a 980ti. I literally purchased one game, played for an hour and never put it back on. I would love to attempt this again, but I feel that waiting for at least the 4000 series, is the right time.

That creates more issues, as I need to build a new computer in the next 2 months and I will not be waiting for 4000 series.

Huh? You do know you could have scaled the vr resolution to get great gameplay on that gpu right? Ive played through HL alyx on a 980 ti , 1080 ti , 2080...on 3 different vr headests. After I scaled the resolution ..all played the game great with minimal visual sacrifices.

Honestly, I found that my computer towards that time was already starting to show it's age. My card would run extremely hot and I would have graphical errors causing crashes.

My intent is to build my new computer with a custom water cooling setup.

What will be the msrp for 3070ti?
it should be definitely below 3080
so 599 then?
