I am wondering about this setting in Bios for my Z490 MOBO should I enable this and will it be good idea to run it. what benefits if I have EVGA Geforce RTX 3070 Ti FTW3.? I read somewhere might give a performance gain some Games or might decrease performance some other Games. Right now my system runs stable and does very well Performance wise.

I have disabled it. I do not see any benefit from game to game to make reBAR worth it, personally.

I leave mine enabled, but per the article, the difference can be slight:

It looks like, if you're going to buy an Intel ARC GPU, you'll need to have it on.

At least from the stuff I've seen and read.

Otherwise, I don't see any improvement, on or off.

+1... same here, even in 4k 144 i cant tell the difference at all. Obviously, judging from the ARC units, the drivers really need to be programmed to use it and the games probably need some tweaks too.

Well at least this let's me know I can probably play with it and see what games I have benefit from it. Sounds safe enough.

You should have it enabled if it’s an option. It will depend on the game if it will need the buffer to be filled all at once or not.

From what I am hearing it’s like buying a Ferrari. Older games are going to be like driving it in the city and some newer games are going to be like taking it out onto the highway. Future games could be like taking it out to a race track to see what it really can do.

All it is doing is filling the memory much faster than the old way.

Enabling resizable bar will give you some performance improvements, but it depends on the game and resolution. The improvements are minor and may not be noticeable.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

On the other hand while performance might not increase in a lot of games it also shouldn’t decrease by having it enabled. Future games might take advantage of it but current games shouldn’t be hurt by having memory available. From what I have been reading it’s mostly like adding additional memory to a computer than what a game requires to run.

ReBAR is part of the spec and should always be enabled when available. This is regardless of performance gain.

If something goes wrong because it is enabled then the affected s/w and h/w is to blame for improper implementation of this feature.
