Jszupiany I too have the 5906x and TBH there isn't anything that maxes out my CPU's except for Handbrake. The question would be, what do YOU use your system for?
I run several VM's on my system for work and many productivity apps open at once & of course use it for gaming etc

Gam3r26 end of last year I was sooo close to pulling trigger on the X99 chipset...but when I saw that it wasn't any huge jumps performance wise from my Z87,costs were still high and knowing RYZEN & Kabylake were coming out, Im glad I w8ted, even though it was difficult, now my eyes are set on the RYZEN 5 which is all I need for what I plan to do to my new rig i'm building soon.
If you can show me a gaming system that beats this, then please do so: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3536817 :) Sure I could add another 1080 Ti or get another xeon e5-2696 v4 but what's the point?

lol no it's not - like i said every time i run this bench i get different scores... it's not a real world test. I get 40-50 FPS @ 4k on ultra with the new ghost recon and it chews through every other game on ultra at 4k @ 60-100 FPS with no problem. I'll run the bench again and show you how different it is.

http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3539347 it seems fine to me... note the drive scores are way off... I'm not sure what block sizes and queue depths they're using but it's a small sub sample of what the drives can do in ATTO or other disk perf tools. Actually it's doing a 4k block test which are the slowest tests you can run rather than sequential reads etc anyways....

Ooooh! Show me a screenshot of the built in benchmark at 4K ultra preset running no less than 40FPS for the minimum - I gotta see that on a a processor that doesn't boost past 3.6Ghz! After you get a screenshot of that result, try out 1080P ultra - I'm curious how that looks for minimums (it's what I run Wildlands at for the best visuals with smooth gameplay).

The in game benchmark for Wildlands! I thought that was made clear? My game is up to date and allows for the in game benchmark under the Graphics options tab (press B) - did you load a beta patch? A screen shot of a scene with 50% sky isn't indicative of minimum FPS. Not even close!

Did you purchase a game expansion, the season pass, or unlock a test version? That's the only think I can thing of. I've restarted my PC and Uplay isn't downloading any patches, so I either have the latest update or your game version is different somehow.

That's against TOS, btw. How does my asking if you unlocked a test version or if you purchased the expansion or season pass make me a phallic appendage again? It's either that, or Uplay is holding off updates for some folks. Or perhaps it's a cracked copy that you run? (not that I care about whether that's actually the case, it would just explain why things are different)

Found it - you have to press "B" in the graphics menu, they removed the "benchmark" button at the top of the menu. Happy now? What was the point of all this anyway? why must you be so disrespectful? Same EXACT bench as yours almost... off by 0.32 FPS lol

AHA! That's probably why - my copy is from Uplay. Betcha the versions ARE different. My beef is that I hate it when people say things that they don't want to back up with proof. I regard those screenshots as a weak presentation of evidence at best, seeing as how it is a very, very narrow window - whereas the in-game benchmark shows wide gamut of in-game situations more indicative of overall performance (including fast camera movement simulating driving, where a CPU rendering ultra shadows will struggle in just like any other graphics intensive game). As it were, I asked you to show me the beef. You were and are still unable to render the beef as requested, hence my extreme skepticism. I actually have experience with a 14C 28T V4 - it had issues with anything even remotely single threaded, the results being hitching in game while the CPU tried to feed the 980 Ti that I had at the time. Does that make sense now?

Awesome, thank you! How does 1080P Ultra look? For the answers to your question, please refer to the previous post.

Here's your "proof" of whatever you're getting at... sorry for the "weak presentation" and sorry it didn't meet your discerning standards. I'll try harder next time to satisfy you. Are you always this entertaining? What else do you want from me and why do you suddenly have this problem? Are you butt hurt that I Can afford to spend $1500 on a CPU, $800 on a GPU? I mean where else does this skepticism come from? You have a xeon too so why is it such a stretch that a 22 core / 44 thread CPU couldn't handle games? It's not a stretch by any means. I've done my research. I do more than just game on this rig as stated earlier... Wow you must be fun at parties. Sheesh. Are you even looking at these screenshots or am I wasting my time with a pleb such as yourself?

For the third (or fourth, or maybe fifth) time, I'd LOVE to see the 1080P Ultra results. Please, and thank you! I'm much beholding to you for sharing your 4K results, thank you! If you want to know if I'm posteriorly smarting, check out the modsrigs link on the left there. Edit: If there's any doubt in your mind - no, no I am not. If you had a 6950X at 4.3+ GHz then I would have some envy (but only a little).

Anything else you'd like to see? Are you really that surprised that a 14nm Broadwell-E 22 core / 44 Thread CPU isn't bottlenecking a 1080 Ti? Really? Btw holy cable management batman .....

Nope, that's all I wanted to see - not bad btw! Only 5 to 7 FPS slower on min/max compared to my 1660V3 at 4.3GHz with a similarly clocked 1080 Ti (I game at 2000 / 5760 for maximum stability). And as for cables (hehe) I'm very much function over form.

EDIT: This is an old NEW pic of my rig with my 1080 Ti and e5-2696 v4 ... I love how my new CPU never gets above 40C under load... the 5960x runs pretty damn hot. My 1080 Ti is the Asus STRIX which I can't remember the clock speeds... I'm sure I could bump it up a bit and recoup the 3-5 FPS you have without a problem... Sooooooo do you concede? :)

Not bad! Yeah, non-overclocked Xeons run cool compared to the voltage hungry i7s. Even at default settings this 1660V3 only pulled about 1.05V (not that I'd run a fully unlocked Xeon at default clocks!).
