I just realized the shipping cost to set-up my gtx 660sc to an gtx 760 is totaly ridiculous !

UPS Worldwide Expedited ($40.72) or UPS Worlwide Saver ($46.30) ?

EVGA Gtx 660sc (179.99$) - EVGA Gtx 660sc shipping (4.99$) - EVGA Gtx 660sc taxes (10.25$) - UPS Worldwide Expedited ($40.72) = Return value (124.03$)
EVGA Gtx 760 no ACX (249.99$) - Return value (124.03$) = Step-Up Cost (125.96$) + taxes (6.21$) = Final cost (132,17$)

249.99$ - 179.99$ = 70.00$
In final; to upgrade an 70$ value, it will cost you 132,17$ ! Almost the double ! The minimum shipping cost (40.72$) represent 31% of that Step-Up Cost.
The question is : Why i'm forced to pay an high-end shipping service when i want to use the EVGA Step-Up program ?
Why i'm paying 4.99$ for shipping an new EVGA Gtx 660sc (with no shipping promotion) and 40.72$ when i want to upgrade it to an EVGA Gtx 760 ? 816% of the original shipping cost ?
My second question is ; Do you offer an reasonnable low cost shipping option to able x60 to x60 Steo-Up upgrade ? Like basic shipping service around 10.00$?

I think, with these 2 shipping options; making an upgrade from an EVGA GTX 660sc to an EVGA Gtx 760 is pointless and worthless because the shipping fee are way much too expensive for the performance you get and you are forced to upgrade to the non ACX version of the GTX 760. 132.17$ to lose an gtx 660sc and gain an gtx 760 new or used with no promotions or 132.17$ on 179.99$ for a totally new gtx 660sc with all bundle ? Or 132.17$ on 249.99$ for an EVGA GTX760 ACX with bundles ?

What i was planned;

1- Buy an EVGA GTX 660sc to see performance gain from an EVGA GTX275sc. Test it 85 dayz to see if i can handle most games at high settings at 1080p with 1 monitor on an  I7 920 D0 at 3.8ghz with  12gig DDR 3 1600mhz. And check for a cheap SLI later for 130$
2- If not; try to Step-Up for an EVGA GTX 770 and get a SLI later.
3- If i am on a low budget; try to Step-Up to an EVGA GTX 760 and get a SLI later.

But now; my SLI wish was block by these shipping fees. Making my best options get ruined or almost. Forcing me to kept my EVGA GTX 660sc until they was obsolete to keep my bucks for an better GPU solution. I love Nvidia but i hate the SLI restriction to work only on 2 identical GPU.

Shipping costs sounds about right(you didn't mention where you live) To ship UPS from Maine to Cali its 25.00 -/+ insured .EVGA negotiates shipping with some companies and the rates are what they are .The 4.99 was a promotional as you mentioned (to gain sales while taking a exchange of profit from price to cover shipping, common practice with alot of products with many vendors) .Step up is a good option ,it was well known a 760 was coming well before  the 760 was out /released for retail about june 25th worldwide  so one must ask why didn't you buy a 760 at that time?

I bought an gtx 660sc instead of an gtx 760 to see if an gtx 660 is enough to run new games at 1080p with high settings. In fact; is not good enough for the 2014 games. I tought the shipping fee was around 10$ to 15$ to upgrade it to an gtx 760. Making that gtx 660 performance test loss to an minimum if it fail to run correctly on most demanding games. I bought so many things worldwildly and i never paid more than 20$ of shipping fees. From China, Japan, Europe, etc. How my closest countrie can't offer the same shipping fees range ?

I don't care to wait 2 weeks to get my new gtx 760 or my new gtx 770. Why i can't choose my shipping cie and my shipping options ? I'm sure we can find an shipping solution around 15$ to ship from Canada to USA. When can we expect an EVGA warehouse in Canada ?

With Poste Canada; i can ship you my EVGA GTX 660sc boxed has low as 15,56 $ + taxes.

Not sure about Canada but USPS takes forever on claims .Does your listed price include insurance to cover actual replacement price ?

Also who takes your package after it leaves the boarder? UPS,USPS,FedEx ? If it is damaged EVGA has to foot the return postage/or refuse it so you can start a claim. The general subject has been brought up many times and the generic answer is EVGA has chosen the best overall shipper for worldwide business use.

Also this price includes "i believe" any brokerage fees your NEW purchase will incur at the border

Canada Post offer insurance for low cost if you want to. But for an item worthing less than 200$, you paid for nothing if you know they are mostly impossible to break an gpu packaged with the original boxing + shipping boxing. They have more risk to see an cie falsy declare an broken shipped product than see an product be broke by an shipping service. That's why shipping cie automaticly insure item worthing less than 100$ for free.

Also who takes your package after it leaves the boarder? UPS,USPS,FedEx ? (What you mean?)

15.56$ Door to Door delivery for the basic Canada Post delivery by air. No insurances.
19.73$ Door to Door delivery for the tracking Canada Post delivery by air.100$ insurance for free.
23.72$ Door to Door delivery for the tracking Canada Post delivery by air. 200$ insurance included.

Canada Post have many more viable shipping solution than UPS.

Hello,

The Step-Up program is a completely optional program that is only allowed within 90 days of purchase, unfortunately we cannot adjust shipping rates but you can send it in however you like. The card you Step Up to is a brand new product. It is a pretty unique program in the industry, and is really there to support customers who purchase a card and then decide a month later they might want something with more power.
