And, man, my titan x cant keep up.
It goes from mid 90's and drops all the way down to 30's (pretty much every game since my titans have gone bad).

Benchmark @2560x1440 with all in current rig, with just High settings, and DOF/Blur/SunSpots/etc turned off, hair on normal, SMAAt2x:
CPU software shows 130's to 110's.
CPU hardware shows 60's top 90's.
GPU shows 30's to 90's.
It says my system is GPU bound?
What does that mean? I need a better video card? Or a better  cpu?

Getting some choppiness.
Not lag, just choppiness, like I can turn but it takes a second for Lara to 'snap to' the turn. I would call it Hitching. :(

That seems odd. Unfortunately the game is early access so I haven't read about any problems with NVIDIA cards yet. I would be checking the forums and seeing if anyone else is reporting frame rate drops but it seems like reviewers haven't ran into a problem.

GPU bound means your gpu is doing more of the work. That is exactly what you want too.

    Oh, cool!
I was thinking I had to get a new cpu, or gpu (which I am anyway). But, just a new gpu means I dont have to get a whole new system.
Thanks for the info, yet again Sajin.

Yeah, this video card has been doing the same thing in every other game also. Thats my problem: It goes from great fps and DROPS to like 30fps for no apparent reason, then goes back up. Even in old games this happens.
But, with Shadow, it is like 10x worse, as it seems to be dropping frames while its doing it, like dropping 30 frames at once then recovering, where other games the drop seems way less, like maybe dropping 3 frames then refreshing.
I am hoping a reboot, or some monthly cleaning of the system and video card, will help it out a bit more and make it not so much of a siezure, and instead a mild sneeze.
    :)

I have early access with 1080ti FE and have no issues at all besides noticing this game is pushing the gpu a little harder than recent titles like FarCry 5 and Assassin's Creed Origins. Have preset set to highest settings and every other setting on, I'm seeing average 90 fps with high as 100 and low as 80, about 10 fps lower than previous titles I mentioned. I've seen no stuttering/glitches at all, pretty stable. The visuals of this game have been pretty stunning imo.

Well, the new driver 399.24 fixed the hitching issues VERY well, and the dropping from 90 to 30 issue also.
But, I am only getting 35-60 fps now.
    :(
But, at least its playable, but at 60 fps barely playable. And thats on High settings, with a lot of stuff turned off.
    :(

And now the TR update broke the game on exit, causing a crash of the game. (it ONLY affect the closing of the game. I hope it didnt affect my save game though).
    :(

And now I am getting an average of 78 fps with my new shiny 2080.
    :D
It made the game go from 'man, I can barely play the game' to 'MAN! This game is ROCKIN!" .
I am super glad that I got the 2080 card.
It is working very well, and is a LOT cooler than the Titan X.
I am also glad I waited to play the game on the 2080, instead of getting frustrated with the little hitchiness that was happening before.
    :)
