Eidos has been enjoying some success with positive reception across the board, however its physical sales are down up to 70 percent in the UK since 2013’s Tomb Raider. Following the growing trend of digital sales, it’s likely Shadow of the Tomb Raider is enjoying a stronger presence on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Steam than its 2013 predecessor. That being said, it is struggling to get much further ahead than 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, which only falls behind by 25 percent due to its initial launch as an Xbox One exclusive. We'll have to see in the next few weeks if sales drop or stay steady.

I picked up a physical copy for Xbox One. I'm enjoying it so far.

    I pre-ordered when it 1st became available to pre-order.
The problem with the series now is, the 2013 TR was THE best of the series. Even better than the original game.
The 2015 Rise was not as good, had a rambly story that was hard to follow, and didnt do TOMBing well, and the rest was already done in the 2013 version. I didnt think it was nearly as good as 2013.
Shadow has really good parkour (just like all 3), and 'tries' to incorperate more of what was in 2013, with the slides of death, underwater deaths, etc, and its better than 2015 so far, but its not as good as either 2013 nor 2015. It has TERRIBLE controls on the pc, along with HORRIBLE camera angles, and not enough time to do some things (yeah, they brought back the need to use 5 keys at once just to do a forward + sideways + jump + another key to either use pick or rope, all in the space of 30 milliseconds), AND they take away control from the user WAY more than 2015, maybe as much as in 2013, which was a very bad idea.

All that said, its still Tomb Raider, its just not a very good one, they should have rebooted it AGAIN instead of trying to jam everything from every tTR game into this one.
Oh, and I DO like the new Croft Manor. That may be the best part of the game so far, to me. :)

I agree with taking the criticism of taking control away from the player. There is lots of walk 5 feet and you walk into a cutscene, similar to Metal Gear Solid 2.
