Hi, all.  I'm in the same boat struggling to get a GPU to build a new gaming computer.  I'm doing the things like newegg shuffle, signed up on here for alerts in the queue, etc.
I ran across a website that looks like it's probably a scam for buying cards.  Feedback?

It's  gpuheaven dot com

Looked pretty sketchy to me

If you don’t recognize the site and it doesn’t have people talking about the site from before the 30XX release I would avoid the site. I would check social media sites to see if they are active on them and how long they have been on social media to help judge if it’s a small business or if it’s a scam site. Also keep in mind though that it’s important to know the authorized vendors to try to get the maximum warranty

Yeah that's what I was thinking.  Surprised I haven't seen more sites like that.

It would also be equally important to make sure you are buying from an authorized reseller/retailer.

According to the Wayback Machine
gpuheaven point COMmercial was crawled 3 times between May 13, 2018 and November 10, 2018, and nothing before that, so we know the site at least made an initial appearance in 2018.  Nothing after the last crawl though.

Checking the whois, we know the site was at least re-registered this year at namecheap, and very recently too, I might add.

Best to probably stay away from that site if you want to keep your money.  It looks like it has something to do with crypto currency anyway.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. It really seemed to be good to be true. They had some social media stuff, but it struck me as ??

Like there were some high fb friend # accounts posting about waiting on card. Got it! Could be decent server farm stuff

Stick to websites that you know. Prices on those websites are far too high, but at least you'll know the stock is legitimate.
