Jacob,

I need a new SLI bridge for my new mobo.  I cant tell on the EVGA products website which one I need.  Can you help me out?  I have an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Code with two EVGA 980ti's.  The one that came with the mobo would not stick on properly.  It just always felt loose and like it wasn't seating correctly.  I figured why not get a fancy EVGA one.

Thanks!

    Go to this page:
    https://www.evga.com/articles/01020/evga-pro-sli-bridge-hb/

Scroll down to see the picture of the spacing

The SLI bridge "size" is based on:

    1) The number of slots 'Between' the GPU cards

    2) MB SLI population rules - which slots on your MB you are supposed to use - in MB manual

    ASUS ROG Maximus IX Code
Looks like you need a 100-2W-0026-LR  (One slot spacing)

Loosen the mounting screws that hold the GPUs to the case when installing the bridge, then re-tighten after bridge is installed

Does it make any difference that on the evga products page it only says compatible with 1080/1070? That has been my only concern. If not I will order one.

Oh and thanks for the replys!

The bridge will work with your 980 ti just fine, but the bridge will operate at 400MHz instead of 650MHz.

Saijin - I'm assuming that that is the standard data rate for sli bridges for the 980ti cards?

The 3rd party ones are $$ tho. But if you have an aesthetic I recommend the EVGA one as well.

Depends on the game entirely. Most however if they support SLi are 50% gains up to 75%
