It has been around 5 months since i got this laptop and was working impressively well until a few days back. Out of the blue my power button stopped  functioning and couldn't type " ! " (currently typing on an external keyboard). The only workaround to turn the SC15 on was by insetting a pin into the CMOS hole

Several things i have tried points to a hardware issue.
  • Clearing the CMOS
  • Updating the bios (now on 1.06)
  • Draining the battery
  • Resetting the PC / Factory Reset
None of the above solved the problem.

I am outside of US and will be visiting to get it replaced in December.  What i am worried is that the replacement process would take longer than 2 weeks and with Christmas coming up i doubt it will ship back on time.

Has this issue plagued any other SC15 owners or am i the only unfortunate owner?

Would love to hear solutions from the EVGA team.

Thanks.

Nothing wrong with people posting issues on the forums. Maybe another member knows a solution for the issue.

When I said "those sound like questions for EVGA", I meant 'it sounds like you are directing your question to EVGA', since he said this:

If he wants to ask EVGA directly, as he said, I would recommend that he asks EVGA directly.
