Hi
I bought a laptop from newegg.com 2days ago. I did not receive a bag which was offered. When I called Customer service they told me
initially bags are outofstock and after some time they again told me cannot provide free bags even if it is available. I am bit disappointed. Its not easy to carry this huge laptop without evga bag.In amazon and other websites they mentioned to call customer service for free laptop bags.Is this true?

I bought a SC17 during the Christmas sale. I didn't get a bag either. I was puzzled that no bag was included, but I thought that I may have been mistaken about whether a bag was offered with that particular promotion.

I was bummed I never got one. I remember seeing the picture showing the promotion when I got my laptop. But when I went to try and get it I never found that page. Then a day or two later the promotion picture was removed from the product page.

When i logged in and chk above page it is displaying promotion is closed. When i called customer service they simply told me promotiin is closed.

No, I disagree. I certainly agree that the promotion you referred to exists, but there is no place in the promotion we utilized which says that we have to sign up for that promotion. For further proof, I received the free mouse (without needing to sign up for it), but not the free backpack. Can we please get an EVGA customer service representative here? EVGA support, via support tickets, are providing me the same irrelevant responses and links over and over again. I don't know why they keep ignoring the promotion I utilized and instead keep on focusing on the backpack promotion, which was a separate promotion, and in no place was referred to in the promotion I utilized, which I provided a link and image of. Thank you!

Sorry for any confusion on the backpack promotion. The promotion was only available if the SC17 was purchased on 12/10/17 or earlier and if we had stock at the time that you requested the backpack from our website (which is why it says while supplies last). That promotion is now closed and we would not have backpacks to send.

Hi.i did purchase my sc17 g sync on Christmas promo on12/8 so way earlier than the promo expired 12/10 and never got free bag .I did receive mouse but bag would be much nicer unless it's evaporated during packing and shipment Just my five cents

Wow you would think that living in today's society you would know by now that AD'S never ever really mean what they represent and there always small print somewhere. But you are correct looking at that AD you would think it would come with the back pack that's what I thought but when I did not receive my back pack I checked online and found out that it was a separate promotion attached ot the backpack and I ordered it and got one. Just another example of misleading ads to promote there sales, we consumers have to be smarter or we suffer. ty_ger07

For those who keep insisting that the backpack promotion needed to be signed up for as a separate promotion, if the text of an ad is not factual, it is false advertising. The ad said that THIS was a promotion where the backpack was included free. AGAIN, it said nothing about the separate backpack promotion. Shove it down your throat!.... err typing fingers. There is no small text and no excuse. Again, read it for yourself. If you wanted to sign up for a SEPARATE promotion, good for you, but you should not need to sign up for the separate promotion to receive your backpack; unless EVGA wants to admit false advertising. EVGA customer service contacted me and said they will ship me a backpack. If you are affected the same, by the same promotion, I suggest that you complain the same and get your backpack. It is owed to you and they are in stock.

I got the SC17 laptop well after after the promotion ended. Are there any alternative laptop bags/backpacks to get besides EVGA's? My backback was supposed to fit most 17" laptops but the SC 17 is slightly bigger at 17.3". I couldn't zip around the corners.

I made my case to support, but they shot me down. It was worth a try. I do think they are in the wrong, but support has otherwise been excellent including doing more than they had to in another case which was more important.
If anyone finds a reasonably priced alternative, please post.

yea when I sent ticket they send me link to other promo,I sent them one I got from mail from 12.8 and nothing happened,i guess they don't want to reply cos they have no answer to this add

First I tried a support ticket against my laptop, but that got me nowhere. I just got useless irrelevant replies related to the wrong promotion. Then, I sent a message to the marketing department, including information from this forum thread, using the form at the bottom of the following page: https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/That's what worked for me.

I just arrived home and I found 2 backpacks waiting for me. I guess my complaining worked too well. Now I feel bad that I have excess while others in a similar situation got none.
