With the recent competitiveness of AMD's Ryzen CPUs and the rumored  Ryzen 3 performance increases, will EVGA finally develop a Ryzen based motherboard?????

Thoughts?

I would think not - a least until AMD has a much larger market share

Interesting take. Asus and the other board makers put out AMD boards despite AMD's market share. I mainly use Intel CPUs but my last AMD cpu was an Athlon 3200+. The one we used a graphite pencil to create a short between the bridges to unlock the multiplier. Those were the days.

I am looking to do a fun build with a Ryzen 3300x when it comes out. I know the specs are not confirmed but if true, I'd like to see what a $129, 6 core/12 thread 4.3mhz CPU can do. Would be nice to plop it in a EVGA board but I guess its not to be.

Many years ago EVGA used to release AMD motherboards however they've since switched to purely Intel for all motherboard releases.

EVGA has been a long term partner of NVIDIA and Intel. I don't see EVGA changing their paradigm anytime soon.
