My setup uses 390-400w at the wall. My current psu (1000GQ) is total overkill. I am looking into the 450 BT psu that’s on special right now. I will be running constant 400w on this 24/7. Will this psu be ok running this since it’s rated at 450w?

I have read that this psu has a lot of DOA issues from amazon reviews. Does anyone have experience with this particular psu?

1.Why do you want to switch.
    2. What's wrong with the one you already have.

Power supply's are most efficient at approx. 50%, at 400w is pretty much there, 1000w is a little overkill, not necessarily a terrible thing. IMO 450w is not enough and will not last long, especially pushing a bronze rated psu that hard 24/7.

Why do you want to go with a bad power supply (450BT)? If you really want to swap it out, go with a 550-650w Gold or higher rated power supply.

I always go with the best psu you can and always at least platinum. Better made, warranties and never had one fail.
