Rumor: It seems based on rumor that NVIDIA will have severe restrictions on the GTX 1070ti clocks upon release and also with its partners. Apparently NVIDIA doesn't want the GTX 1070ti to outgun its GTX 1080.

If they don’t want it to outgun the 1080, then don’t release it.

I questioned the release of the 1070 Ti from the beginning. It's a product that overlaps performance of existing products. I don't see the necessity for this card even if the undervolted RX Vega 56 rumours are true (allegedly the 56 outperforms even the 1080 in certain titles when undervolted). But given existing pricing I wouldn't be concerned unless the plan here is to give miners some extra CUDA cores.

People aren't going to like that if it's true.

    I wouldn't want a card I couldn't overclock. If it's a 1030 then ok, but a 1070, no way.
