Respawn Entertainment confirmed yesterday that it wasn’t working on Titanfall 3. This seems to contrast EA’s recent earnings report, which states that the studio will deliver another premium Titanfall game by the end of the year. Apex Legends is already doing incredibly well, with EA boasting 600,000 concurrent players by the end of its first day.

The statement ended with the reveal that “Respawn also plans to launch a premium game this year that is a new twist on the Titanfall universe,” despite Respawn CEO Vince Zampella emphasising that a third entry wasn’t on the cards just hours prior. Taking to Twitter, Zampella revealed that the studio is, in fact, “working on more Titanfall for later in the year” and that the team “loves being able to experiment in this crazy universe.”

    So basically EA outted one of their studios and as such Respawn's CEO was forced to admit they're working on more Titanfall. That's rather hilarious and yet so messed up.

    I think they need someone to help time their releases better , so they don't always coincide with other AAA games releases  at the same time.

    The use of the word "premium" worries me. What are they trying to infer with that wording? So it won't be named Titanfall 3? How about Titanfall: Third Times the Charm?
