You will get one if they have one -- OR -- a card with similar or greater performance

Sounds like you need to start your RMA -- and end up with a spare

Do we know if his PSU has the cables to support a 1070? Can't recall but I'm betting the 560ti was one 6pin

@ Cool

I have a Cooler Master V1000 psu

And as 560Ti I have:

Part Number: 01G-P3-1563-KR
Part Desc: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked

Edit: I just checked my dead 560 and it has two six pins connectors.

I saw that on the store page of my ordered 970 there's a Y cable included (two six pins and one eight pins).

Reading through some of the exchanges here, I too would have to recommend the 1070. It will serve you well and isn't that much more than the 1060.

I'd start that warranty RMA for the 560ti and see what you get out of it. Worse case you get a working 560ti best case you get a gpu worth a few bucks you can sell off to help the upgrade price

I looked at my warranty and registered products on this site and I can rma two cards: a 560Ti and a 9800GX2 SSC

I'm thinking to ask for these rma's around mid way next month because of the upcoming Holidays and the busy times for postal services.

Edit:

Got a mail from EVGA:

plus with as old as those cards are he will most likely get some kinda upgrade on them and have something worth selling or to use in another build

I'm also curious what the replacements will be. :-)

Today the 1070 card that I ordered isn't available anymore in the European EVGA store (and not available in the USA store), so I guess I'm lucky to have ordered quickly. I just hope that the 1070 card will be a new card and not a refurbished or used one.

Re: Replacement advise for 560ti 2017/12/12 07:14:10 (permalink)
Hello,

Got the same video card before like you - Asus 560 Ti 1GB.
Decided/was forced to change my card as card suddenly broke - i play FullHD resolution (1920x1080).
After a small research of weeks decided to go with EVGA - 1060 SSC 6GB.
My aim was 60fps in World of Warcraft with high details , which is constant while playing.
If you have budget 1070 is better for the difference you pay.

Regards,
Adrian
