Replace 1 TB SSD with a 2 TB, or buy another 1 TB and RAID 0 them?

I'm more or less looking at this at a cost vs risk scenario. I currently have a Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB SSD as my secondary data drive. It's got about 70 GB left on it so I'm looking to bump up to 2 TB now. I could buy an 860 Evo 1 TB for roughly $170 and RAID 0 them, or pony up for a 2 TB SSD. Currently this one is the cheapest. I've never messed around with RAID before but I would like to hear thoughts on it. Thanks!

Using RAID doubles your chances of failure, so I would recommend staying away from it for that reason.

I’d pony up the cost and either leave the drive in the rig as a backup or sell it to compensate for the new drive.

I don't think RAID is really worth it. With it being November, i would hold off until BlackFriday to buy any computer hardware.
