Recommendations ? i5 Laptop 1920 x 1080 IPS 15.6 /17.3 display, 8 GB RAM, Casual Use

Looking for Recommendations ?  - i5 Laptop with 1920 x 1080 IPS  15.6 /17.3 display, 8 GB RAM, Casual Use
 
Looking to the EVGA Forums community to help build a short list of possible laptops to replace my ailing laptop
 
My ~7 year old HP is having issues with the display (external monitor works fine) [i7- Q720, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia GT230M]

What I'm interested in: Casual use: movies, web surfing     (Not looking for a dedicated gaming rig of course if it is a great sale & on budget)
 
1) $500 - $800 (after discounts) (i5 prefer 8th generation, will consider i7 & 7th generation CPUs)

2) 1920 x 1080 IPS display 15.6 inches or bigger

3) 8 GB RAM with dedicated GPU,  12 GB RAM with Integrated, Intel UHD Graphics 620 (more is better)

4) I would prefer a laptop that has access to the RAM & HD from a removable cover (seems rare nowadays)

5) Removable battery seems impossible to find on current units, still it would be nice to have

6) Weight does not matter ... its a laptop not a sack of bricks



The reviews of current HP & Dell laptops seem a mixed bag.

There factory websites are missing the mark for: easy focused searches & information on access to RAM & HD.
