I'm having a blast with this game!  I know it didn't receive much advertisement, but I must say the combat is extremely fun.
 
I also saw negative reviews about the landscape being an empty wasteland....I don't perceive it that way, it falls more in line with a Mad Max theme.  Quite honestly, the graphics look beautiful on my 1070ti.  Good game, having a lot of fun with it.  Never played the first one.

The reviews didn't really go that bad for it. A lot of people look at games and think it needs to have a 90% score or better to be worth playing but a lot of games are really worth the price of admission that only get about a 70%. The wasteland didn't bother me for this game because going in it's what you expect. You don't read a synopsis of the story and think it's going to have large open world cities to explore.

I've only played a little bit - but the beginning intro base attack was boringly lame for me ,... but after that it was really cool fun.  Feels good, looks good. 

I completely agree....the intro sucked.  Once your out into the wasteland, that's where the fun set's in.  I like the variety of skill trees also, still trying to keep track of all my combat options once the action starts.  Pretty brutal on the violence too, which improves the entertainment value for myself.  Reminds me of the damage modeling in the old school PC game Soldier of Fortune II...that game was wayyy ahead of its time.

Your welcome.  For any others curious of the game I mentioned, Soldier of Fortune II, Double Helix.  You have to check it out, old game but ahead of it's time in terms of realism.
