Ok I have a RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra that did the red led and died so I rma'd it and the new card got installed and there was no RGB lit up and the fans went to 100% and I mean all three. I got the rgb to come on with EVGA Precision software and then i restarted the pc to see if it would straighten up and now EVGA Precision doesn't show up and tried redownloading it and it installs but doesn't open and fans still at 100%. Well I said screw it deleted precision and got afterburner and set custom fan curve to quiet the fans and now the fans are at 100% until I play something demanding and it heats up and when it reaches about 60c the fans slow down like normal and never gets above 77c but once I go back to desktop and the card cools back down the fans ramp up to 100% again..... Need an Exorcist please

Uninstall PX1. Uninstall NV drivers using DDU. Reboot computer. Reinstall latest drivers. Reinstall PX1. See if the problem persists.

Ok did a clean swipe of drives reloaded windows 10 and new nvidia driver and same thing fans at 100% on gpu. I have not installed any fan controller programs but truthfully I should not have to. GPU switch is on normal not OC but I tried it on OC and restarted and same thing fans at 100% sounds like its trying to take off- GPU core temp at 22c at idle. Also did a bios update on motherboard (MSI MPG-Z490 Carbon EK X ) to the newest release.

Honestly, sounds like a BIOS (video card) issue. Before trying to RMA again, I would see if you can re-download the BIOS and flash it onto one of the switches. Maybe try the XOC BIOS posted in one of the pinned threads? Those are the BIOSs i've ran on my 3080FTW3 and honestly they've been fine, aside from the higher power limit, which wouldn't affect you at stock speeds anyway.

Also note you should install LED sync when installing PX1, it will check firmware and update if needed.

Ok just downloaded Precision X1 and fan status says --fan 1 at 0%-- fan2 at 0% and fan3 at 100% but all three fans are at 100% ????????

Kinda scary that the rma replacement comes in jacked this way....good luck to you sir I am sure it will eventually all work out.

I had to do a full Windows reinstall thanks to the new drivers turning VR into a slide show and reinstalling the last driver made the system go unstable. So totally fresh Windows install, installed X1 with admin privs, and the third fan *still* wanders and doesn’t follow the others. Fresh Windows and admin X1 install. Still borked third fan. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

The card is defective. Contact support and have it replaced. A new out of the box replacement card shouldn't do that.

Kinda what i thought. I'm gonna contact support and see what they can do on Monday. I have always gotten mid level cards like gtx970sc and gtx1070 and this is my first premium tier card and its leaving a bad taste for the money I have spent......
