Do Any consumer RTX 30x0 GPU support virtualization? (for Linux KVM or VMWare Workstation)
Luckily or unfortunately I have a RTX 3070 with 64 GB ram and 3900x CPU. I planned to create virtual machines and thinking about VGA virtualization. (The news show me the nVidia uses 3080 for GeForce NOW.)

Thanks,
Gergely

Generally 3D graphics performance on VMs is kinda bad in my limited experience, I've got a 1080 myself and I can tell you that performance in a windows (10 or others, used XP as well at some point) VM running on a windows 10 host with VMWare is terrible, to the point that a flash game was running like a powerpoint slideshow even with all the virtualization settings on, with 3GB of video memory (the max it allowed me to use) and so on, I've since found other options like Sandboxie for my isolation purposes and for trying out random games that I don't fully trust. Maybe I missed something, or maybe the fact that I'm on the free version put some extra restrictions that others don't have but afaik VMs are meant for virtualizing servers and the likes, not gaming or doing 3D stuff. As such I reccomend that if you intend on gaming or doing 3D-focused tasks on a VM you consider other options. I'm unsure if it's actually a 3080 in the GeForce NOW infrastructure, they most likely have a whole bunch of 3090s or something even more powerful, something professional-grade intended for productivity, all in a datacenter, hooked up and virtualized trough something custom, afterall they don't pay $1500(+TAX) for them like we have to. Do note that they don't say they give you a 3080 to use, they only advertise 3080-level performance, so for all we know it could be something else that's set up to push out that kinda performance.

I tried the Hyper-V and I am able to share the video device without any issue even within built in RDP (watch FullHD 60FPS video).
