I’ve been in the queue since 9/17 @1101 and nothing you mean that you haven’t even gotten to the two hour mark of the queue yet. Something doesn’t seem right.

Newegg and amazon have been getting most of the GPUs.

Then make more!!!!! I think most manufacturers are reluctant to increase production so that they are not stuck with excess inventory when the inevitable mining crash happens.

I don't think that's happening with reputable firms. What would the direct to miners sales channel be?

Not the same card , but you get the point.
I'm sure they were doing it with all their entire lineup of cards before they started producing the mining only variant...

Miners do not get warranty on cards so of course EVGA is going to sell most stock to the bots and feed very few into the wait list. EVGA obviously doesn't give a crap about gamers. Its ok though a new Chinese company is coming out with a high end gpu. Will buy a GPU from them since EVGA is just selling to Miners anyway.

I’m not going to outright accuse you of lying but I find this hard to believe. I queued in November.

That‘s just one of the 3080s I was able to queue for.

The OP was probably referring to the Black or Gaming, which has not moved at all.

Yeah I am on those as well, they have not moved at all. It makes sense though, GPU chips are probably allocated to the higher margin products. It's not about the miners.

I got in the 3070 queue in October... I think the 5 series cards will be released by the time most get their notifications lol

Honestly not sure how they're handling it. It seems like retailers are getting evga cards, however it's nearly impossible to get an order in obviously. Maybe they have some kind of contract or obligation to supply the retailers before selling on their own store or via their queue...

I've read numerous comments about people getting lucky and getting a card from retailer before getting notified by evga etc. Then they probably end up just selling the card.

I noticed that Linus from LTT(Linus Tech Tips) had received tons of EVGA GPU's directly from EVGA. He's apparently in charge of making sure they are going to get out to actual gamers. That's a nice sentiment and all, but EVGA should have instead given those cards to the people in the queue.

Umm, other manufacturers don't even have queues so how can you say that?

How can I say what? I said a lot in there. But I'll take a guess. "Why am I calling the queue a scam?"

Because it is unreliable. Because it isn't being directly focused. Because they don't care if you are a scalper or not. Because there is zero accountability. Because they don't spend any moment of any day actually trying to treat their customers as customers.

So instead, maybe once a month they might push 10 cards towards the queue. While they send out thousands of cards to Amazon, BestBuy, and many other stores. Who then allow bots to buy them all up in a single transaction.

Just because there is a queue. Does not mean your position in the queue will ever get a video card offer to purchase. At the end of the day we do not matter. Because if we did, then they would be working their butts off to put video cards into the hands of their customers in the queue. You can not rely on the queue to move and to obtain stock. There is zero time frame. Many of us have been sitting in the queue waiting, for months, with almost no movement to speak of.

Me personally, I have been a hardcore EVGA fan for many years. Pointed every one of my friends and family towards EVGA. To show for that, I have a spot in the queue and they have barely moved 3 days in orders over 6 months. I'm more than 3 weeks out from that place. That means I'm looking at more than 3 years to get an offer to buy a 3080. By then, they will of released other models.

I am pretty sure they have commitments to all of their retail partners. The queue is an add-on, a nice to have since the rest of the other GPU manufacturers have basically abandoned their direct to consumer sales channel. You are basically in competition with EVGA's retail channel. Yeah, you probably should not count on the queue if you are in desperate need for a card but in this environment I don't know what you expect. Maybe if EVGA provided more visibility as to how long you need to wait, that'd be better.

Waiting for something that is never to come is the same as waiting for something that will never exist.

The only chance you have with the queue is to be among the first 100 in a new queue.

The other manufacturers may not have a queue. But they are not telling lie's to their customers that they have a chance to get a video card.

I'm in queue for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra.

The queue is more likely going to be shut down and discarded than it will be fulfilled. More than likely the same die's get used for the 3090's.

It was a bandaid to stem the tide of emails they got regarding stock and the fact that the bot networks spammed their sales server into oblivion.

If people had known that they were going to disregard manufacturing specific models then they could of made different choices regarding the video cards. But EVGA does not care one bit about us. People that care, communicate.

They don't come in here to read the forums. They don't do anything to help customers get video cards. They don't do anything to actually support their future customer base. They don't inform their customers or make manufacturing numbers available to be an informed buyer.

I have zero hope for EVGA to get their act in order and actually support their queue. The whole thing is a giant scam. The only way the queue has enabled people to get multiple cards is because they have signed up onto every single queue with no intention of buying all of them. Where as considerate people who are looking just to get 1 video card with in their means gets ****ed over for only signing up to a single queue. If a store during Black Friday has a queue. Everyone gets in eventually. They don't take months to push through. Is it a fair shake against EVGA? Nope. It isn't. But neither is their queue offering a fair shake.

It is impossible to get a video card if you need one. It is impossible to get the video card you want unless you are willing to pay 3 times the cost. Charging 1500 dollars for a 3080 isn't going to bother the scalpers either. They will simply shift the video cards they already have on hand to 4000 to 5000 dollars. Where morons will still buy them. Further screwing people over who are already struggling in a ****ing pandemic just to get an upgrade they want. The day this happens, I will fully support the public execution of any scalper and miner by any means.

I was in for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra as well joined in September. EVGA just received my 2070 Super step-up today so the queue is working.

I fail to see how a 2070 super step up results in proof that the queue is working.

I assumed that the step-up and new buyer is the same queue and even if there is a separate queue for new buyer depends on how EVGA prioritizes it I'm getting the 3080. EVGA received my old card today at 11 am and I already got the email of the tracking number for the 3080 the same day! They're moving as fast as they can. They do care for their customers.

I’ve been in the queue since 9/17 @1101 and nothing you mean that you haven’t even gotten to the two hour mark of the queue yet. Something doesn’t seem right.

im sorry u put your egg into 1 basket aka the xc3 black which basically has no margin . they had to do that one for a small batch just to keep in line with nvidia starting at 699... times have changed.. component increase in price combine with shortage from fabs and miners making 2/3x asking price...

u can't force a company to sell at 699 for u just because you've showed interest via auto notify

The queue system was mostly a PR stunt to get good public image and people in queue are getting crumbs and scraps: they are mostly selling to mining farms. It's as simple as that. They don't give two sh*ts about gamers.

I personally think the queue system was out of good will but ultimately flawed because all you need to do is create a new email, link the email to an account here and then sign up for a notification. You don't need to have purchased anything from EVGA or even made a post on the forums. I'd bet my good leg that there a ton of double-dippers that created new email after new email just to either slow the queue out of spite or so they could scalp the extra cards. It's probably difficult for EVGA to root those out without dedicating potentially already stretched thin staff.

So I don't blame them for the slowness of the queue, mainly greedy people that genuinely just want to watch the world burn or simply make a quick buck. Both of which EVGA doesn't have a lot they can do about other than get rid of the queue (which they can't because that'd open up angry responses from people at the front of the line) or dedicate man power to delete names from the list that have fishy emails or emails linked to the same address. Which has its own grey area to navigate.

Yes you notice was for the 3090 the 3080 hasn’t moved. So that lets us know it’s not moving.

I’ve actually signed up for 5 and the logic is you release a product a consumer will ultimately expect a certain amount of availability.

I got on the queue just to have a chance at a card...  a friend laughed at me saying I'll be waiting a long time... and that was the push I needed to not sit wait.   Drove to Microcenter a few days later and I was able to buy a 3070 for my kid... and couple days later I bought a evga 3090 ftw3 ultra.   He laughed at me because I drove far to get it (1hr 20min drive)... but I'm thankful that he motivated me to at least try to find one.  I went to Microcenter last week to buy a monitor, and they had a pretty big drop of RTX 30 and AMD 6000 series cards.  I'm still on the notification list just in case, my kid would rather have an evga card, but I family members still looking for cards.

I don't follow your logic here.

dude queues up xc3 black.. the lowest margin and his entitlement expect a card.. theres millions of people in queue.. if you're not in the early wave.. you're not getting one.. they stopped making black xc3 after september. u need to be on the day of the product launch for the queue to be able to get a chance for invite.. signing up days or months later n then whine why they dont get invited.. especially this dude who signed up for 1 card n expect it.. lmao.. some people.. go buy other brands then. have fun fighting with everyone for a card
