Hi guys i need some help ...
Please I just bought the new RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA but I am having problems with ... When I play in a game the card works fine for a minute or two and after that I start to have small delays. I don't know what to do, I received it for 2 days and am having problems. Do I have to send it back for repair to the seller's store? I format my pc, I changed the power cables, I reinstalled Precision X, I reinstalled all the latest NVIDIA drivers ... I don't know what. Help me please. Bios updated ...
Before, I had an RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA and had no problems.
Could it be bad manufacturing or bad NVIDIA chip? NVIDIA RTX 3080 fault?
Has anyone had the same problems?

I'm having a similar issue while playing war zone I'm having dropped frames, my 1% lows and 0.1% fps are dropping to 60 while my average is around 140.
I tried doing a clean windows install, install the latest Nvidia driver, and then their hot fix version. I reinstalled the war zone, disabled multi core enhancement, loaded optimal defaults. Nothing. it's still a studdering mess. I reinstalled my 2080ti and my 1% are a 80, 0.1% at 70 and average of around 114 fps.

Same problem for me Warzone and other game ... I have try to play FIFA 21 but it's impossible ... The game is not smooth ...
What can we do please ?

What games is it lagging in? Sometimes games need patches other times it's the need of a driver update to optimize the new release for games. While some things might be buttery smooth I know it's disappointing when the game you want to play is one with troubles right after a new generation launches.

I have try with many games but the same problem ... It's possible to be a defect card maybe ?

Thats what I mean, if you tested the 2080ti recently with current drivers than maybe your 3080 has issues, though there are a lot of factors in play.

I would run some stress tests & see if the card is under performing there. That would be a clear indication that it's either driver or more likely hardware that is the issue, and since the system performs fine with the 2080 Ti installed, it's automatically going to be either the PSU or the GPU... and your PSU looks like it's a good enough quality unit that it should not be the issue.
Contact the place or purchase & see if you can exchange it, if not, you should be able to contact eVGA directly & setup an RMA, but you may be without the for a while while the RMA process takes place. Luckily you've got a backup :-P

I have almost the exact setup you do, down to the same PSU before I changed it out and everything worked fine. Actually have the HXI 850 sitting on the desk now of the PC it's going into. So anyway, what games and what is happening exactly? What resolution are you playing?

I contacted EVGA today and they said I should try a different power supply. I grabbed my two month old SF750 and just powered the GPU with that power supply while my main 1200w is powering the main system. I still had a studdering mess. I contacted EVGA again and told them that I swapped to 2080ti and everything runs cherry. Even roughly around the same FPS which was kind of odd. At 1440p, the 3090 was averaging around 140fps with 30-50 1% 0.1%. With the 2080ti, average fps was 130fps, and 90 1%, 70 0.1%. EVGA told me to send it back for RMA so it's being shipped back tomorrow. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long.

I was having the same issue with my 3090 FTW3 Ultra.
Please completely exit out of Precision X1 if you have it open. This fixed the issue for me.

I am thinking driver problems myself. Hopefully NVIDIA will come out with some better drivers sooner than later.

The drivers are glitchy, they just are. The HOTFIX was better, but still not completely right yet. So yeah, we have to wait.

Do you have access to a higher wattage PSU that you can try to see if the PSU is an issue (and thereby rule it out) leaving only the card (or drivers) to blame? I would highly recommend that if possible.

I have a really similar setup with an evga 850 T2 supernova. I really hope there isn’t an issue with my rig this afternoon when my 3090 is delivered. It’s working perfectly with my old 1080 @4k and 1440p165 on my PG279Q

And as far as I heard, Warzone has issues above 3000MB VRAM Usage, try putting texture resolution on Low and try to run it below 3000.

I've never enabled HAGS because of the problems that it can bring. With that said, I loaded up Warzone and played through the Battle Royale tutorial without issue on my 3090 FTW3 Ultra with every setting at max with a 4K resolution on the hotfix 456.98 drivers. At the end of that session, 17GB of VRAM was allocated, and 17.3GB of system RAM. With no issues there, I should let you know that I've had pausing in games before - and it was infuriating as to what it was. It was a dying drive that Windows was accessing, and even though the game wasn't installed on it, the mere fact that Windows was polling it was causing everything to pause. I suggest starting with your drives, disconnecting extra drives and testing to see if the issue persists.
