Will they come in january or february also?
I know without official info its al speculaton. Just wondering if step up will be an option for cards purchased in nov/dec.

    step up is 90 days from the day you bought it, so if you bought in November, and it releases in February, it might be pushing the time limit, CES 2022 is might guess for something like an announcement, if any new cards are coming soon, I'd be pretty tentative about speculating on more precise time frame than that, least at the moment. Still I see see an article or two about gigabyte mentioning RTX 3080 with 12GB so fair chance is will be soon-ish, anyway.

    Only NVIDIA knows that information.  I personally wouldn't make a purchase of a GPU banking on being within the 90 day step-up window of a yet to be released product.

    Are games finally saturating 8GBs of VRAM so now they're releasing 12GB models of existing cards or something? Might change my opinion on getting an 8GB VRAM GPU if that's the case...

    Far Cry 6 texture upgrade needs 12GB afaik.
    I bet more games will come that will need that.
    I think 10gb 3080s will become EOL pretty soon and will replaced with the 12GB cards. And a higher MSRP offcourse.
