Anyone know when the first wave of notifies will go out for the 3070s? around 9 PDT I'd guess? Another question
the KL launch edition, is the same card as the black, but has a t-shirt and $30 discount, right? or are there other changes?

It's basically a program designed for people that buy a new GPU and then a launch happens, they can upgrade to the newer generation without having to pay full price, they just pay the difference.
Nowadays people are using it to "game the system" and get a 30 series card "sooner" lol

You can as long as you're not outside the original 90 day windows. So if you purchased whatever you're stepping up from and then enter the step up for the 3080, you can cancel the 3080 step up and enter the 3070 queue as long as you're not outside that original 90 day window.

Sweet, FTW3 3070 ultra at 10/29/2020 6:09:04 AM PT.  The email letting me know I was in the queue (not that I could buy) freaked me out, haha.
 
Hopefully this comes sooner than my 9/23 3080 FTW queue... 😆

Yeeeeeah I want a definitive answer on whether or not I'm gonna end up getting a 3080 still or not first. lol I'm already in the notify queue for the 3070 so I don't think doing a Step Up is really necessary... I may just resell the 2070 Super XC Hybrid I have that I was gonna use for Step Up, if I end up getting a 3070 notification today, that guy will be slap happy he's getting the new new for MSRP.

Yea I put in my notify for the 3080 ftw3 ultra on the 23rd so there's no way ill get it before January so im gonna hope stock is good for the 3070 and step up to the 3080 when I can. At this point I just need a card since I have a fresh build with no gpu in it lol

i had a 3070 FE in my cart on best buy and a gigabyte in new egg, got to the checkout page on best buy and nothing.. wouldnt let me complete the order... tried to get to the checkout page on new egg and error message came up...  This is ridiculous...

That's why EVGA que system is better, they actually care that "non" bots get the cards.  BB just want to sell to whoever.

Just keep in mind, when you're doing Step Up, you will have to ship your current GPU in before the new one is sent out, even if you do UPS overnight both ways, you're looking at probably 3 business days to get the card in, so make sure you have a backup card.

Well the evga website isn't up for it unfortunately.
Edit: do I have brain worms?? I kept hitting refresh on evga site and couldn't see a 3070 selection until just now (a little before 10am ET)?? Was it up before?


Best Buy site **** the bed again of course. I was on my pc-wired connection at 850 refreshing...had several tabs open for each 3070 best buy listed, had newegg tabs open, using ctrl tab to navigate..I had cards *at checkout* which is where best buy says your item is reserved, within less than 30 (the entirety of that time was almost all waiting for the second add to cart button) and still had the website say it was unavailable. And then that over and over again ofc. Newegg pretty much the same thing. Didn't bother with Amazon.

As fast as I was I doubt their sites even are protecting against bots at all in any meaningful way. I went from add to cart to checkout on the first one on best buy in probably 2 seconds. I should've focused on newegg.

I got a 3080 TUF already. So it's just a thought. Not sure though. I might just let the notify go to the dust. Really after a 3080 and was just seeing if it was live. I wish you could give notifies to other people, but that'd encourage some kinda black market I guess.

how long past the launch was it before you signed up for the queue, I signed up for the 3070 queue 15mins after launch cause I had no idea where it was lmao
