How's possible for my RTX 3070 Ti (EVGA FTW3 model) to have lower average FPS than a RX 6700 ?

It shouldn't be the case. How do you compare them? Can you give details?

Well, I recently bought a Sapphire RX 6700 Pulse. I've jumped into the game and run its native benchmark using my competitive settings for both.

I've also seen this article on Techspot and 3070 Ti falls significantly behind compared to other AMD cards too.

    I'm playing on a 1440p165 monitor.
    I'm using an Intel i9-9900K
    G. Skill TridentZ 3200C14 32 GB Ram.

It just feels odd that the 3070 Ti falls behind compared to 6700.

Different games like different architectures. So I would say normal. Check hardwareUnboxed' video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ4JDDCnOi0&t=1019s

Depends on if you are using DX12 or Vulkan. What games are you scoring lower in? Have you benched both in 3DMark?

I've only benched the 3070 Ti and the results where normal. Probably is just Warzone, I'd guess. I'll run some tests with the 6700 out of curiosity then during the weekend and I'll come back with the results. I don't think there's anything wrong with my 3070 Ti.

"Poor performance in Warzone"  absolutely not something that should be used as any type of benchmark for performance. Also note that Windows 11 22H2 also has a low perf and stuttering issue which I don't think they have fully addressed outside of rolling back the entire build.

For now I'm sticking with Win 10 though :D

I ran Firestrike & Time Spy for both cards on a clean driver install. Here's the results:

I think I fall a bit behind on DX12 (SpyTime) compared to the average scores but I'd guess that could be cause of the i9-9900K?

I would recommend undervolting the GPU. My system is water-cooled (Ek monoblock on cpu and Ek waterblock on Gpu)  but I also have my gpu voltage curve set .950v for highest core voltage Going above this voltage produces extra heat with very little performance gain. This was consistent with the air cooler and waterblock
