What is up with RTX 2080 lackluster performance over the GTX 1080Ti. Depending on the game, the GTX 1080Ti beats the RTX 2080. In some games the RTX only gives a few extra FPS over the GTX 1080Ti.. So far it looks like the GTX 1080Ti is the better value over the RTX 2080. I think the RTX 2080Ti should of been the RTX 2080 card at the RTX 2080 price.

$780+ RTX 2080 being beat by previous generation card that costs less. It's a good thing AMD has nothing to compete against the 20 series or Nvidia would be in trouble.

This was talked about in a number of posts in this thread as well > https://forums.evga.com/BenchMarks-are-out-m2857627.aspx

I was pretty disappointed when I saw these results.  I was hoping to upgrade to the 2080, but it's hard to justify the cost to performance when the 1080Ti has the same performance for less cost.  I was expecting there to be some performance gain from the 1080Ti to the 2080.  I'm hoping as drivers mature, things will get better in this regard.

I wonder what happened to Nvidia claim of 6X better performance?  Perhaps it requires a modification in software or some change in the cards firmware for the specific game code type?  I saw where AMD has released a firmware update/mod for their card(s).

Nvidia was probably talking about when using DLSS and Ray Trace. No way a previous generation card should beat the new generation card that is over $100 more.

The 9 and 10 series cards, Nvidia didn't release a Ti version on day one. The Ti version came out like a year later. What will Nvidia release next year, a new series or the real RTX 2080Ti?

    +1.  6x better performance against GPU's that weren't built/designed for that technology.

How is the 2080 Ti Comparing to 1080 Ti?
It has more CUDA Cores than the 2080 but same as the 2080 Ti.
The RTX 2080 Graphics Card is not a good enough upgrade or replacement for the GTX 1080 Ti

From all the reviews I've seen so far, the 2080Ti would be a nice upgrade over the 1080Ti performance wise, but the cost is what stops me.  If the the 2080Ti was priced where the 2080's are, I would most likely upgrade.

I would liked to of seen at lest 100 More CUDA Cores.

    It's a brand-new architecture I'm sure it's going to get faster

Mature drivers will help, but will they add 10-20% boost in performance in current games.

In place of the new 2080ti, I have SLI 2X 1080ti, I,m A happy camper. Until ray tracing is avalible on any platform I am currently useing I well stick whit Pascale cards. Its just not worth it.

Still, doesnt seem worth the cost to me. Ive been wanting to upgrade my GPU, Im looking pretty hard at AMD RX5700. Nvidia is just milking it twice as hard this go around, maybe Ill spend more than $500 for a GPU when mature raytracing gpus are seasoned enough, let alone $900 plus for a RT gpu thats worth that $900....
