I have a simple question but am having a hard time finding a reliable answer that's not multiple years old.

I have 2 monitors, a 34" and a 32" and wat to connect them both to my new build.
MB: MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon WIFI
CPU: 10th Gen I9 10 cores
64 gig ram

Do I connect both monitors to the 2080Ti or Connect one to the 2080Ti and one to the Motherboard to be driven by the CPU?
Will only be using one monitor for gaming.

Thanks in advance.

You will connect all monitors to the back of the video card. Using the nvidia control panel you will determine the main monitor, if one or both show the task bar, etc..

    Hi Wskrs,

If you have two monitors, and one is for gaming, you will need to disable the 2nd monitor in the NVidia control panel, while its not in use.  Go to "Set up multiple displays" and un-check the monitor not used during gaming.

I'm not sure why you would have to disable any monitor to play a game on the other.

I have three monitors and have never turned the other two off while gaming on the main monitor.

Use the screen for gaming as your main and everything else next to it to the side.

The Display Port in the back of the GPU via top of the GPU will be your main or you can just set it up in Nvidia Control Panel.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

    Hi dc8flyer,

The 2nd monitor does not need to disable the monitor if its being used.  However, it is an option to disable it when its completely off.
