So,  I just tried to use these NZXT LED strips that I've had for about 3 years now and it appears they aren't functioning properly?
I don't really have any way to test them on their own and was really excited to use these since the FTW3 Ultra gave me the chance with its RGB header.
I do have an extension cable, but I don't think that's what causes the issue, but on that note, the white arrow is supposed to be where the power comes from yes?
So on the LEDs it says FD then GND then IN then +5V, the white arrow should line up with the +5V and the 12V header on the card. Right?

Also, this would make testing it soooo much faster, but I didn't want to try anything that could hurt the GPU. Can you switch out LED strips while it is powered on?
Lastly, I don't see anything representing the strips on X1?

Welcome to the Forum
Maybe not enough Power.
Use 2 Separate PCIe Power Cables from your PSU to the GPU.
Can you switch out LED strips while it is powered on? NO!
Would you change any other Power Cable on the Motherboard with it powered on?
You can Short or Bun out the LED Strip or even Short and kill your Graphics Card.

Thanks for the welcome~!
Would the power be an issue? I currently have it reaching 373W when OC'ed so I assumed it had enough power throughput with the single cable and two 6+2pin headers.
Also, thank you. I knew it would be a bad thing to do, but the urge to try to see 'would it be ok it's just an RGB strip' was just looming in the back of my head.

Many have asked this and many ended up using Two Separate Cables.
Yes IMO it is a requirement for this Graphics Cards whether using the RGB Header or even the Fan Header or not.

Good to know! I'll go find another PCIe Power cable to put in.
As for Overclocking, I know this isn't the main question of the thread, but in X1 these are the steps I took based on what I could find in random threads, is this correct?
Set power and voltage to 124% and 100% respectively then run a scan, then increase core by the amount given in the +X box and that's the recommended stable OC?
Save then continue?

Or write the Number down and put it in yourself.
And the Apply then Save and I do it Twice myself.
I never used the Scan I just Move the Sliders all the way to the Right on the Power and the Target
Then Start off on the Memory with +400 and the GPU +60 run Time Spy then Fire Strike.
I add +100 up to +1000 on the Memory and then add +10 on the GPU until the Benchmarks Fail/Crashes.
Once the Benchmark Crashes I back off the what was added before.
But you need to watch your Temperatures as the card get hot the low and low the MHz will go.

This is what I use for everyday use on one of my cards.
Not that this card only has +40 on the GPU but my other card has +90 but can only run stable at 2025Mhz.

you have a d-rgb strip plugged into and rgb header, 12v vs 5v

Ahhh, what strips should I get then?
Thanks for pointing it out, even when I typed it out I didn't think about it.
