So wanting the best overclocking card money can buy below £1000 I went and grabbed the RTX 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra but now I've got it I cant help but feel disappointed.

I went for the FTW3 because I wanted a card capable of overclocking higher than the rest but it seems this card just doesnt deliver I'm maxing put at +800 on the memory and + 60 on the core (2025 effective) and I'm unsure if that is even 100% stable. I've been checking around and did before getting the card and saw people with this card hitting +1200 on the memory and much higher on the core.

It's a beautiful card it really is but I steel feel a bit uh.

What kind of clocks are other people getting with this card? It would make me feel better if what I am achieving is pretty normal

Overclocks aren't guaranteed even on a overclocking oriented card.  But I'm getting +110 on the Core and +1100 on my Mem on my RTX 2070 FTW3 Ultra OC card.

It also comes down to temps as well.  Those in cooler environment will push every inch of their silicon to what it's capable of.  Not sure what your temps are or how much headroom you have left but take that into consideration.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

I bought Rtx 2080 XC Ultra on release and it is a great card and its max OC Mhz is 2100 Mhz. Most times though it is between 2070 and 2088 Mhz (depending on temp). Put the 2080 into my sons new PC build and bought a Rtx 2080 Super FTW3 Hybrid, it can hit 2160 Mhz max and drops a little if temps go up. Very happy I got a nice OCer this time. It all comes down to silicon lottery, no guarantees. Honestly, you will not even notice the difference in Fps between 2025 mhz and 2150 mhz (like 2 or 3 fps difference max). Funny thing I usually run my Gpu stock and only OC when I do Bench a Thons.  Enjoy your card and play lots of games.

    *Edit*
I just wanted to add my 2080 Super FTW3 Hybrid mem clocks to 900 max before artifacts. So I am not hitting the magical 1200 that you spoke about. The only binned chips are the KP (KingPin) edition cards, all the rest you play the silicon lottery for your mem and core clocks. The main reason to buy the higher priced cards is generally cooler temps, 3 fans over 2 fan models, thicker heatsinks to run cooler and generally the sound is better. I almost always buy the FTW models and always buy EVGA cards for all my Gpus (and power supplies). Enjoy your card while playing games, 100 Mhz less in the real world means almost nothing.

    Now worries my specs are:

    9700k
    MSI Z390 pro carbon
    16gb corsair vengeance pro rgb
    Rtx 2080 super ftw3 ultra
    2 x nvme drives
    2 x data ssd
    1 x mech hdd
    Corsair Commander pro
    4 rgb strips
    4 x coralir ML140 pro RGB fans
    1 stock 140mm fan
    Corsair H115i platinum
    Evga g2 1000

When I chose this card I was under the impression that these are binned chips which is why they are the top of the line cards vs the cheaper models

I'm also getting an issue where if I press scan on OC scanner VF curve the system restarts instantly and If I overclock the card and run time spy I get the same thing. I've replaced the PSU thinking it was that but it's still doing it
