i7 7800x @4.6
4x4Gb 3200 c16
Asus x299 Tuf Mark 1
750w Seasonic SnowSilent Plat
Bios is : 90.04.0b.80.79.
Driver Vers: 431.36

Having a strange problem with this BIOS. My card rarely goes over 300w so im leaning towards my PSU not having enough juice, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem.

Normal boost clocks are around 2050-2100, memory is @ +700 and my usual power consumption is 240-280w and it pretty much doesn't go much higher. Skylake-x is super power hungry so it sometimes consumes over 200w, normally 180-220w. I have 10 120mm fans, 4ssds, 1hdd, a 360m AIO; do you guys think its possible that im hitting a wall?  Any ideas?

I don't think you are with a 750w PSU.  If you had a Kill-A-Watt, that could better assist you to see what you're pulling at full bore but I still think you still have room unless of course you're getting shutdowns which is usually a sign that you're going passed your PSU's limits since it's protecting itself and the system it's connect to.

I'm not too sure what the max wattage you can pull on a 2080 FTW3 but looking here, the TDP is only 215w and with the added OC's, I don't think it will be going over 300w since a 2080 Ti FTW3 would from the higher SKU.

Maybe someone with more experience with this GPU can chime in.

From what I understand the OC bios should do 338W, but I don't know many people with this card so its hard to confirm.

I also theorize that the BIOS was messed up from Precision X1, never was able to update the BIOS with it, always failed.

why do you think there is a problem whne you flashed the bios? is is due to bug in precision software? when did this happen? is this solved by now?

Nvidia Boost 4.0 has the Last Word on modern GPUs

The Load on your card will determine the Max Watts consumed ---> Not Your Settings

Run GPU-Z - while running bechmark software - then post a picture of the "sensors tab"

Ok through GPU-z I can see it hitting 330w and sitting around 126% power draw through the normal BIOS, so I don't see the purpose of the OC one. However I can't seem to get it using more than 1.05v, which I think is the normal voltage cap.
