Never knew coil whine existed until I recently purchased a 2060 super as I upgraded from an EVGA 1070 FTW2 with zero noise. I RMA'd the card with EVGA but unfortunately the new card has the same amount of coil whine, albeit just in a different frequency. It only happens when the card is under stress playing games such as Far Cry, BF5 and the voltage is above 800 - 1V.
Just wondering what everyone else's experience with the 20 series Nvidia cards are? Is coil whine more prominent in the 20 series or was I just lucky with my 1070? I'm going to reach out to EVGA support again but I'm not sure if playing the RMA lottery is feasible or if it's just something I'll have to live with.
