I just registered a 2060 KO Ultra that I picked up a couple weeks ago at Microcenter and I noticed that my product page said "This product is not available for Step-Up. Please read the terms and conditions of our Step-Up program.". I took a look at the terms and conditions but I don't see anything about the 2060 KO Ultra. Can anyone tell me why this product isn't available for Step-Up? This is the first product that I've purchase that hasn't had Step-Up as an option.

Thanks!

And a smattering of Samsung EVO drives.

WHAT PRODUCTS QUALIFY FOR THE STEP-UP PROGRAM?

You can unlock the Step-Up option for most 3 Year Warranty products as long as it meets the conditions listed below. Once the Step-Up option is unlocked, you will have 90 days from the original purchase date for your product to start the upgrade process through the EVGA website. Once the Step-up process is started you will receive a confirmation email.
  • Register your qualifying 3 Year Warranty product purchased new from an authorized reseller within 14 days of your original purchase date.
    • If you should happen to miss your 14 day registration window on your qualifying 3 Year Warranty product then you may also purchase an extended warranty within 90 days of your original purchase date to enable the Step-Up option.
    • Don't worry, your Extended Warranty and Advanced RMA (EAR) purchases now transfers to your new Step-Up product!
  • The EVGA Step-Up program is currently only available to residents of the United States, Canada, and EU Countries.

Thanks Sajin, I swore I was in the 14 day time window but it looks like I was actually 17 days. The downside to having kids is your alter sense of time, lol.

Buy the Extended Warranty .. that will open your Step-Up window

Thank you very much Cool GTX and Notfordman!

I should have queued up for the step-up once I realized I needed more firepower but I was holding out hope the new cards were going to be announced and there would be a step up to those.

I went to step up today and realized they didn’t have any 2080s available. Do you guys happen to know when they might be posting more? As my luck would have it, I’ve got surgery Wednesday and I only have 7 days of my step-up left and I’m probably going to be out of commission for most of the 7 days. So I’m hoping I can try and get a family member to pop on and check for me since Covid has stopped visitors from coming by

Unfortunately I have No idea, if more 2080 will be made available for Step-Up ....

Good luck on your surgery & recovery

Thank you again Cool GTX. I’ll keep an eye out and see what I see tomorrow. It looks like I might be fated for a 2070 Super unless I luck out and a 2080 pops up later this week and my wife is nice enough to grab it. Could be good timing anyway, I’m sure she‘s far less likely resort to violence if I’m recovering from surgery

Hope you are doing better now, warehouse70. I had noticed a couple weeks ago the step-up list thinned substantially for the US. They are still offering a few higher options for EU. It possibly happens to be about the new releases, or just inventory. I like your violence theory.....It could work.

Thanks mate!! I’m feeling much better now. Mostly healed up, still can’t drive or pick anything up over 5lbs for a couple more weeks. Which just means more time to play games when I’m not doing work email, right?

Oh and the theory was on point, I’ll have to time more life threatening events around big purchases... or was it the other way around 😂
