I have now RMA the 2nd 980TI to burn out in my computer, Running a MSI X99A Krait SLI, my original 980TI died, the PS Corsair 850W Gold and the motherboard all had to be replaced after about a year of running fine. MSI replaced the board, EVGA replaced the card, I bought another Power supply EVGA 1000 Gold instead of using the Corsair. These were all replaced in April 2018 and now in October 2018 the video card burned up again, it didn't overheat and shut down, just burned up like a crispy critter. Really disappointed in this card considering I didn't have video card issues in all my previous builds.
MSI X99A SLI KRAIT EDITION ATX DDR4 3000 LGA 2011-3
Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 80+ GOLD,
Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) DIMM 288
No I do not overclock my CPU, no I do not overclock my Video Card, I don't play anything as Ultra 4k, all of the games I play I normally play on normal video card or recommended settings.
