Am I right by thinking that RMA stock of graphics cards is untouched by all of the cryptocurrency craze? I'm getting a little paranoid, since I sent in my card for an RMA.

Should be no problem. I'd hope a company like EVGA would be smart enough to always have a reserve and not sell them out all at once. That's why literally a random times during the day, every day, there's a good PSU or GPU that gets released for 10 minutes on EVGA before it sells out. They're just increasing value and demand for their products by doing this; this also allows them to focus on bettering their technology.

Got a used >=8gb GPU that you'd like to sell? PM me

Yeah, I sure hope so that would really stink if they were all gone.

No I doubt they will be. Majority of people actually buy these cards purely for immediate resale (not always for mining). So there probably always will be a place you can buy one but anywhere off of evga's site will be marked up terribly.

You will be fine. If they don't have the card, they will upgrade you to a better one. Win/Win.

I will confirm that for sale stock on the website and RMA stock are separate and do not overlap.

    Everything is security.

Whilst valid, I also just had a call with EVGA who said they have NO stock at present and there is a massive backlog on cards across the board, related to the miner craze at the moment - Whilst they have separate RMA stock, it looks like the lack of retail stock is having a knock-on effect (they can't replace with better if they have none to replace with).

So still waiting for my RMA to even be approved, let alone the process to get it changed. That said, only day 3 so far, hoping things change!

They basically told me the same thing about the RMA stock shortage. I'm on business day 9 now since they received my card and it's still pending with no ETA. :(

Just be glad you got EVGA, I suspect Gigabyte took my card and resold it.  I sent them a 2 year old card, they told me they had no stock to replace it and sent me what I paid for the card 2 years prior.  it was a 2 year old card, why would the refund me cost?  Crazy... After putting in a cheap 1 gig card just so I could check my email I was still having problems and realized the issue was with my EVGA power supply.  So the video card was fine.  Now I am stuck trying to find a new card which was A LOT easer 2 years ago.

EVGA is a great company in all seriousness, I'm almost certain they have a few units backup and even if they don't they need to give you a product of equal or greater value.
I've heard some horror stories about other suppliers though ^ as someone above stated - not everyone seems to be ready for an emergency

Man, I would be livid if that happened to me. A refund is useless right now when it's impossible to purchase a replacement. At least you got two years use out of your card for zero cost though, and the new nVidia cards are likely right around the corner.

I was told by EVGA support that they'd hopefully have an update for me early this week, but the week is nearly over now and I still don't have an ETA yet.  It would be nice to know at least how far back I am in the queue of people waiting for RMA stock.  I may have to break down and buy a cheap card just to get my computer running again. I've been without one for almost three weeks now.
