I guess a banged up card is better than them giving you a refund and then having to buy a marked up version elsewhere. Still a dented card with thermal paste on the shroud (albeit no pictures provided) should not have been what they sent. That's a little bit of a kick in the teeth. I understand refurbs are the norm but I hope their QC has improved since that alleged incident.

While EVGA has great customer service, I would be beyond pissed off if I just bought a brand new shiny card, payed over $2k for the privilege, had it poop out on me in less than 30 days, and then get a beat up assed card with scratches all over it in return.

That's myopic and silly. Dude, $2K ain't much these days, and no one can even get a video card these days let alone one that doesn't have any issues. So to be concerned or butt hurt at all about some SCRATCHES, is just kinda silly. Like, get some perspective perhaps? My Daddy-in-law is dead cause of coronavirus, my kids can't even go to school, my business took a $500K hit th last year, and y'all sitting here whining about some SCRATCHES. Bruh.

This is one of the reasons I never RMA'd mine, in addition to the cost (I'm in Canada, it ain't cheap to ship back & forth fully-insured for $2k). I'm just holding out for the eventual KPE waterblocks, then pump-whine is a non-issue and all I have to deal with is the coil-whine.
