RMA is taking over half a month? Normal?

I bought a B Stock 2080 TI on 9/22, received it on 9/28, hooked it up, rgb didn't work, fan didn't work, tried it in 2 systems both failed to make it into windows, I presume it overheated or something because the backplate was hot to say the least.
 
Contacted EVGA, uploaded receipt, sent it in, they received it 10/4, all seemed to be going smooth, and now nothing.
 
I contacted EVGA again on 10/14 and asked what the hold up was, they responded they didn't know but would get back to me, and now nothing again this week.
 
Status has remained 'Preparing to ship' since the first time I checked, maybe 10/7 ( I expected 1-2 days as it stated)

    Just to provide a conclusion, the RMA shipped the day I complained here, arrived 5 days later, and has been working fine since.
