Yesterday I was offline making some changes to my PC. I now have an AMD 1920X Threadripper, ASRock X399 Taichi motherboard, and 64GB of Dominator memory. As the picture shows I need to do some cable management but I will have to do that next week or the week after when I have more time. I also need to change the PSU shroud as well.,..from the MSI icon to ASRock. My signature will be updated soon.

AMD Threadripper competes very well against Intel. Sadly EVGA doesn't make AMD motherboards or I would have bought one. However the graphics card is EVGA.

    Cable management doesn't look bad.
Just need some cable combs for those.

In the mean time, this is how my new config. looks like at the moment.

I think no cable combs will solve this mess for now.

Jump to threadripper so soon when zen+ is around the corner?!
I suppose if they do continue the x399 socket you're set anyway. I've heard good things about the x399 taichi, huge overkill on the powerphase.

How does that corsair AIO hold up to temps? Any plans to get Enermax's Liqtech TR4 AIO? Seen some charts and it's about 10C-15C cooler under load due to the copper plate being full contact on the IHS.

With 94 percent load this time of year while folding the temps are about 65 degrees C. I'll take a look at the Enermax and reviews and see what the reviewers think of it.

Need some of ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 goodness for drive. That almost memory speed make Intel Optane look like junk on the Threadripper platform.

On this motherboard there appears to be two M.2 NVMe slots and AMD has implemented a new M.2 RAID array last month. That might be interesting to try if funds are available:

OK added come cable combs to the PCI-E cables and both front fans have been replaced with Corsair ML140 pro red fans. More work to do tomorrow. Tomorrow it's time for the ATX cable to have some cable combs. Then after that is done, I need to tie back the cables in the back and some in the front:

Thanks. As you can see the ATX cable stands out like a sore thumb, so tomorrow the ATX cable comb is my first priority.

I have an external blu ray drive ordered so my internal drive will be removed. I have a 120mm pro red for the rear exhaust also on order.
