I have the dark and the nu Audio card. As far as music and movies it’s insane. It’s better than the other 5 dacs I have. Game audio off the bat for rpg games it’s a massive step up. FPS/BR games it needs some tweaking in the eq. I’m working on this as I type. When I make a good setting for those games I’ll post screenshots

Same issue here with the nu audio and z390 dark board, it says unable to create secure TLS/SSL channel but why would an audio card need that ?

I think thats just for the update? I had a question about the board as well. I have a headset and mic combo, does the mic jack not work with the new audio in the front?

Are you referring to the NU Audio on the Z390 DARK, or the Z390 DARK with a NU Audio Card? Either way, it's probably trying to check our site for an update. I'll ask our team about it.

Question with the z390 Dark NU Audio. Does the front mic port not work with it. I know mine doesnt I was just wondering if that was normal?

Has the NU dark board drivers been updated? Does installing the Z390 Dark NU drivers still disable front audio port? I haven't installed the latest NU drivers, only Creative.

Download the Creative Driver from the "Downloads" Section and use the Sound Blaster Recon3Di Control Panel.
Once there. Go to "Crystal Voice" and to the Right of the Drop Down Menu underneath "Select a Recording Device" you will see a Silver Box. Click the Silver Box and then Select "Front Microphone".
Profit.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I'm trying to get my Nu Audio to work on my Z390 Dark and cannot for the life of me get it to work. I've tried everything mentioned in this post but to no avail. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I guess I should be specific on what I have done so far.. from the normal installing the creative and then nu audio drivers associated with the Z390 Dark. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times, going into device manager and checking for driver updates on the creative audio, rolling back the driver, un-installing each driver with a reboot in between, installing drivers with a re-boot in between, changing microphone line to front header, disabling all other audio sources except the creative one, and changing windows audio settings as well.. So far nothing has worked and as soon as I open the Nu Audio software, it just says please link device... It's been very frustrating to try to get it to recognize my headphones and quite disappointing this is an issue in the first place, as with anything, I would like to use a function of the board I purchased.. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bringing this back from the dead again. I'm getting the "evga nu audio request was aborted - could not create ssl secure channel." and it will not detect my headphones plugged into the front panel.
Any ideas?

I have a question regarding the Nu Audio and Creative sound... I'm currently using the headphone port and mic input on the back. I'm using Turtle Beach Stealth 350VR headset, because I primarily play VR with Oculus Rift S. The sound is great. I am going to try the Nu Audio on the front panel, but is the Nu Audio built into the board, an extension of the Creative audio? One of the reasons I chose this board over the FTW was (aside from the additional OC settings, vrm, and built in wifi) was the inclusion of Creative audio. I've always been a fan of Creative Labs audio, since the original Sound Blaster.
Obviously the best method to test which I like better, is to try them both out. Which I am going to do. but I'm curious if the Nu Audio onboard uses the Creative sound or if it's a separate (realtek?) chipset. thanks in advance.

The SSL/TLS channel issue seems to be present on quite a few peoples Z390 Dark board. I for one am also experiencing this issue. EVGA appears to remain silent on this...
