Hello all! I'm trying to connect my older custom build HTPC to my receiver and TV. I know my 660's wont cut it, so I want to get a 1050 or 1050ti. Ive already tried a Displayport to HDMI converter with the 660's and I'm getting awful results with voltage return and almost fried my system. Once I got everything working i found out that the damn converter wont even do 4k, just 1080 max resolution. This will be to watch 4k content only and NOT to game. I've seen so many people with issues trying to get a PC connected at 4k @60hz so I figured I'd ask here first. So heres the setup.

HTPC current setup...
Windows 10
Core i5 4670
Gigabyte UD3H mobo
2x geforce GTX 660SC (SLI)
Samsung pro 1tb SSD

Receiver...
Marantz SR6011

Television
Samsung MU8000

Of coarse all of them say they are capable of 4k, but I want to make sure that if I purchase a 1050ti, I'll be able to make full use of all my components at 60hz through HDMI only.

Thanks all!

The 1050 ti will do the job for ya. Just make sure you're using an hdmi cable that supports up to 18 gbps.
