I apologize in advance if there is a specific sub-forum I was supposed to use other than this one.

I purchased a 3060 Ti (3663) card originally.  I then used the step-up to get a 3060 Ti (3667) with three fans, because I didn't like the two fan version.

The plan was to use that, but while waiting for the shipping on the 3667 card to occur, my queue notification occurred for a 3070 Ti, which I would obviously prefer to use.

Now my question is, I have a 3060 Ti (3667) that I will be getting rid of that I already purchased an extended warranty on as well; Is it safe to sell the 3060 Ti (3667) card and have someone else register it (after I remove my registration)? Will that person get the extended warranty I already purchased for that card?  I just want to make sure someone else would get the benefits of owning the card before selling it to them in the first place.

thanks to anyone able to help out.

No, the next owner will not get your extended warranty nor your step up card. The extended warranty is non transferrable and the step up perk is only available to the original owner. The new owner will still get a warranty, however it will be from when the card left EVGA's inventory for a period of 3 years from that point assuming you also provide whomever you sell it too with a bill of sale when you do sell the card.

So the step up card (3667) 3060 Ti was sent to me with a date of 10/21/2021.  What you are saying is that the normal 3 year warranty applies if someone else registers the serial number, and the date that would apply to that as a starting point is the 10/21/2021?

    thanks for the response.

That is exactly what @CraptacularOne said.  The date the warranty starts on a second hand purchase is the date it left EVGA's inventory, not the date you received it.  BTW, the bill of sale can be something you type showing ownership transfer from you to the purchaser and be sure to include the serial number.

The purchaser then registers the card and should upload the bill of sale at the same time.  It beats trying to find it in a couple of years if they have to RMA.

You do not need to "unregister/ deregister your GPU"  ... the second owner can still register the card
