Newegg is selling a EVGA 80 Plus 600W PSU CERTIFIED REFURBISHED. Is it safe to buy and use?

Bought a EVGA 500w recertified psu back on 07/02/2015 and it's still working fine.

I wouldn't risk my hardware with any 80 Plus White power supply. 80 Plus white is the lowest 80 Plus rating you can buy. I would recommend going with a quality made 80 Plus gold rated power supply. If you keep an eye on sites like slickdeals, a good chance you can catch 550W 80 Plus gold rated power supply on sale for around $50. It might take a month or two before you catch them on sale again.

I need to upgrade beside this is only $25 free shipping and my current power supply has no 80 plus rating so I see this 80 plus as a step up from my current PSU

Look at this EVGA 650W G3 on sale for $50.00 after rebate. Just shows if you can wait a few weeks, it's possible to find a good deal on a nice power supply.
