Right now im running two 780 Ti Hydros in SLI and im wondering how much of an improvement One 2080 Ti will be over my 780s, so just one card vs two ?

I always prefer 1 fast performing card over 2 slower ones even if the 1 card only equals the 2 slower ones.  Why do I say this.  well because SLI is still not well supported even today and it has its glitches and so on.  1 really fast card normally just works better in everything especially when new games come out that could take up to 2-3 months to get SLI support at times.

Only way you will really know real numbers though is if you benchmark those cards and compare your scores to some of the scores of the 2080 Ti's with similar hardware to you.  Those cards are several generations back now though so I would expect the 2080Ti to be much better.

Prob be night and day difference with just the single 2080ti over the 2 of though. You should be blown away at how much faster.

The big question - what resolution do you play at ?

780Ti only have 3GB RAM - so, RAM intensive gaming will really improve

    PC specs ?

If your games do not support SLI ---> Huge gains

Even if the do support SLI - you should see gains & with more RAM in the New Card - 1440 & 4K

That one card will also use much less power (Watts) while providing great performance

    It should.

Similar situation as you.  Came from x2 GTX 780 Classified Hydros in SLI to a single 2080 Ti Black + Hydro Copper on a 1440p 120/144hz screen.  While I have had issues along with way and on some games, the GPU blows through it all and think it has a lot more to give once all of the game and system optimizations are finely tuned.

When I compared the 780 bench scores to the current 2080 Ti, mind you I can't recall if it was single or SLI configurations, it came about 3-4 times in total score.

Yup.. be like Christmas morning loading up the first game! Haha

I'd snag one up and upgrade the whole rig wife willing but man she went off bring it up to her. Be like 3k. Yeah need house repairs. Might wear her down eventually.. once the card is out of stock!

Just alot to pay for 20 maybe 30 frames more then what I'm getting on my ultra wide 120hz alienware screen.

No point going beyond your screens Refresh Rate.  Just doesn't do anything but overwork the GPU for nothing.

With the CPU the OP has which is just one gen under me I think, he will most likely bottleneck a bit.  By how much, I'm not sure as I'm bottlenecking by a few %'s on the GPU (97%).  Most folks I've seen with newer CPUs are able to get close to the 120-144 FPS marker.  I usually hover around 90-110 FPS area which is fine for me tbh with all the settings set @ ultra @ 120 Hz / FPS because I felt 144 I feel stutters my game play more frequent (BFV) but I've been messing around with different settings to see and the last time I downclocked my CPU to 4.0 and it felt the smoothest.  Since, I've bumped by OC's back to 4.4 with a +182 on Voltage instead of +180 what I used to use.  Feels a tad better and I might bump it up again to see if maybe the CPU just needs a tad more since it's around 80-90% load with BFV which is my most demanding title I currently game on.  Everything else I play, it doesn't break a sweat (WoW, RL, CoD4MW).

I looking for more in game detail and clarity playing BF5 and BF1 , if I only got 5 FPS and the game is super intensely detailed and clear and without mountains popping up in the background I’ll be Smoking HAPPY !!!!

Do you have EVGA Precision X1 installed?
If so can you see the LED Tab at the Top?
If you have PX1 starting with the OS then Exit from PX1 and then start it back up.
    It has RGB
