I don't think the queue has been a waste of time. In the beginning, those who were successful were those who queued for all SKUs. But, if you followed along you would have noticed that certain SKUs weren't being manufactured as often. So by like January 2021 it was obvious what to do: at that point if you had gone back and queued for all cards you would have likely gotten something by now. Ok, say you missed that. If you came back in June of 2021 and queued for a bunch of 3070 Ti or 3080 Ti SKUs you would have a card by now. For one of the 3060 SKUs I think you could have queued for it as late as August 2021 and have gotten one. People who were successful checked back here periodically and paid attention to the advice from EVGA staff (esp. with queue 2.0) and other users.

I can confirm that is true Took me just a few weeks to get my 3080ti And did get the notice for the 3070ti few days later

I'm new to this process with EVGA but I'll stand by what others have said. It might be hard to get in but they have also allotted new people a chance to get them with priority going to people whom have not used the website to order a 3000 series card.. Now come the 4000 series they will probably get priority because they will have a lot of points then it will jump back down to whoever has not ordered a 4000 series card will now have priority. Everyone's a little frustrated but you just need to be patient.

Queue works for NA customers, just have patience. It moving forward regularly, if a bit slow.
If you are signed for EU queue don't bother. EU doesnt exist for EVGA

Took me just a few weeks to get my 3080ti
And did get the notice for the 3070ti few days later
Doing just that I got notice for 3 3080ti's and purchased 2. Kind of regret not getting the third. Also did a step up(as a joke thinking it will never happen) on a 3060ti and got a 3080, witch was surprising.

For the 3080 12GB they normally opened the notifications for the EU they should not open them since they do not intend to give cards to the EU it is like EVGA is making fun of the people of the EU

Just keep checking this website and sign up for 3050 or 3080 when its released for real. I think what we saw for 3080 was a test run.

I've had good luck in Canada with the queue, but then again I went after the higher end or less popular cards so that tends to help. Sadly there isn't an option to turn a Hydrocopper or AIO model into air cooled, even aftermarket, though before now there was never a shortage like this so there was never a need.

EU is crap in comparison, however, I got my notify this morning. Granted I have waited since June, but for way cheaper price than retail I am very grateful.

Because I am a bad person, my first thought when I saw the thread title was, "It wasn't as much of a waste of time as your time spent in school." For having this thought I sort of apologize. I can't all-the-way apologize because I still laughed.
But seriously, the only way it's not a waste of time is if you get a card. It's really that simple, that binary. Card? Yes = Good, No = Bad. The human mind is poor at thinking in terms of incremental probabilities, so you get threads like this.

I’ve given on waiting on the queue as well. It blows my mind I’ve been in a queue for 15 months. FIFTEEN MONTHS. That’s just insane.
Does anyone here know of a good discord server to follow that can notify you when stores like Best Buy have GPUs in stock?

The queues for the basic versions of cards don't ever really seem to move -- not a lot of incentive to make those I guess since you can take the same die and put it on a higher end model. Granted maybe there are more people that signed up for the cheaper cards? I don't think that eVGA has released the numbers breaking down how many of each type of model they've made.
When the 30 series released I put a notification in (not realizing that it was a queue!), but of course I didn't realize that it would start the day _before_ the official release. The queue hasn't even gotten to the official release day for that card!

EVGA should probably prune the queues of the cards not being manufactured anymore or manufactured to such a slow time frame that somebody won't get a card for another year+.
