Hi everyone. I really want to get my hands on a 3080 or possibly a 3090 (waiting for NDA lifted results), but I just don't have the time to be scouring the internet and F5ing.

Would EVGA please consider allowing a Pre-Order option? I don't mind having to wait a couple weeks or a month as long as I have that peace of mind that I did get it ordered. Thanks.

You might want to ask Jacob Freeman that question directly. I would ask a similar one about the 3080, but I deleted twitter awhile ago for their anti-free speech stance. https://mobile.twitter.com/EVGA_JacobF

If enough people ask in a public setting, EVGA might do it.

You’d think that they’d be motivated to do it based on being bombarded by literally thousands of questions about stock and other complaints all day. Pre orders would eliminate an extremely large percentage of all complaints about the launch currently.

I certainly would be fine with doing a preorder and waiting instead of this silly “hunt for stock and refresh pages” charade. Mind you I am not camping out on webshops all day scouring for any stock. I have a career that is certainly much more important than hunting for a new computer part. That said, it would be nice to have new the hardware to play my favorite games on. Which is why I wouldn’t balk at all about doing a pre order and waiting 3-4 weeks. That’s how long it took me to get my 2080 Ti the last time around anyway.

Sent him a tweet! Hopefully they take my proposal into consideration!

Same here, Hawk. I don't have the time to sit in front of my computer all day and press F5. I have to work.

Another example.. I just bought a rare crowdfunded ITX Case (Sidearm T1) and it won't even ship until mid December. That's fine with me, because I know I have it ordered and I don't have to do anything else but wait.

Even a 100 percent paid pre-order seems to be a non-starter for NVIDIA with this launch.

I'd be willing to pay full price for a secure pre-order a this point, even if I had to wait a few months. Having to constantly be alert is a big distraction for me when I'm working from home.

I wonder if they will on future iterations of the 3080 and 3090 like the hybrids and so on - it was my understanding that it was nvidia that prohibited presale of the cards. I’m wondering if since the 30 series has been released if they can now do pre-orders for new variants

I feel like a huge number of people are asking for it but there's just been no response, not only from EVGA. Seems the rumor is Nvidia demanded no pre-orders, which seems to make sense because not a single AIB or retailer has offered it.
