Hopefully that means for the 3090 as well since most are specifically asking about the 3080 generally.

I feel like it doesn't really matter until they can stop the website from crashing and/or slowing to a snail's pace every time a card(s) come in stock.

The bots are primed for any restocks. Even if they cannot check out the insane traffic basically DDOSes the entire site and even Elites cannot finish checkout. They need Cloudflare or something to block the traffic BEFORE it reaches the site.

Bottom line is when the website is down or moving that slow, 90% of the cards are going to bots since they don’t need to physically see the pages or have the website up the way you and I do to place orders.

hopefully the number of bots that have elite membership accounts is limited, though they may still hit the store trying even without it.

I mean, the elite thing is only for ONE SKU so it doesn't help much.

Looking forward to these bots... buying boat loads of stock, and having inventory sitting idle in the next month or two lmao.

I see ebay listings seem like they're not moving all that fast. But it sure doesn't seem to be deterring the buttholes from buying cards to list...

That's good to hear. I hope the whole bot issue dies down, I really want to upgrade this 980 ti.

agreed.  especially with rumors of 3080 20GB eventually.  all these scalpers will be sitting on stock and hopefully thats enough to deter them from wanting to waste more $.

If people would just stop buying at the scalped prices they would stop buying up the cards...simple

i hope the sellers on ebay arent spending the money they get from these scalped cards.

ebay buyers have 30 days to return an item for basically any reason, even if you list no returns, and ebay will have their back. Have buyers remorse because you spent $1500 on a card 3-4 weeks ago that you can now get for not much trouble for $750? Just submit a claim that it's not as described, you can literally make up anything and ebay will most likely side with you as the buyer. the seller will be forced to take the return, and ebay will straight up pull the money out of your paypal account (whether you have it or not, even going negative in your PP balance if they have to). There's little recourse as a seller in this situation.

Absolutely right. My elite status got me to the final stages of checkout and upon confirming my order was kicked back to the storefront . I tried three times to finish the transaction and all three were disappointments

I hope so.  I just need a card before Cyberpunk 2077.  I will grab an AMD card if I have to at this point.  I'd rather get a 3080 because of the superior feature set but RDNA2 will still be a big upgrade from my 1080 ti.

More stock! Yes. But if the site still fails during checkout it may not help.

At this point I'm probably going to just chill (literally?) waiting for a Hydro Copper version of a 3080 or 3090 and see what happens with power limits with higher tier cards.  I'm not playing any new games right now anyways and there isn't any "killer" 4K144 monitors in existence (that don't need a fan for the gsync module).

Plus ski season is coming which takes all of my winter free time anyways.  And I'll have the Series X and PS5 to play with coming up.  See everyone in the spring :)

Eventually demand will level off and there will be a surplus.

Is it known if it will only be one SKU going forward or will 3080 XC3s be added?

What is the plan to stop all the bots that are reselling the cards on ebay? Any bot protection in place to prevent order abuse? We all saw the website was down this morning and all we saw were the traffic cones with the hard hat.
