Hello,

I just got EVGA GTX 580 SC from www.scan.co.uk.
However I can't register my product on EVGA site ?!
It states that I have wrong s/n for part id that is printed on the label .

Part Number is : 015-P3-1582-KR

There is also small label on the back of the card with some code similar to part number : 015-1580-B1.

No matter which one of those two I enter I can not register product.

S/N and P/N are the same on Card and on the Box. One thing that bothers me is that Box came with EVGA seal broken on one opening, and box itself looks quite rugged. I do not care about cosmetics, however I do care if this is refurbished product ? And more over I do care about inability to register product.

Is there any chance that support can take a look into this issue ?

best regards
Mirko

Scan have been doing this for years. We no longer supply our customers with anything from Scan for the last 5+ years after we have had gfx cards from them that they had bios flashed and resealed to make them seem like a higher performance card and at a higher price. They are truly scammers and still continue to do it,  they are literally 2 miles down the road from us and I still hear stories like this every month about them. Very suprised EVGA continue to use them as a trusted seller. They shouldn't be trusted at all.

It's all down to opinion, scan are the best, lowest prices and good service. I have bought a lot of evga products off them and they register all the time.

My company bought from scan several EVGA items, I have recommended SCAN and EVGA to my company. However I don't want to gamble anymore. This GTX is bought for GPGPU setup not for gaming. So I want to protect my reputation, I really don't care about lowest prices.
I hope EVGA can investigate quality of their service.
