Won't show any of my fahcore_11,15 or a3.
They just do t show up for me to set the priority or affinity. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled but nothing. I know they are working cause they show up in task manager.

Folding whatever I can :o)

Try "Options-General Process Lasso Settings- manage processes of all users". I had the same issue and I think that's what fixed it.

    Carlitos,

Yes, you should benefit by using process lasso on your rig.  I HAD to install it on my i7 950 with a 450 and 460 just to give my GPU's enough cpu cycles to fold properly.

I doubt both cards will folding efficiently if you use -smp 8...

I have -smp 7 for CPU bigadv folding...  in lasso, I have the following configs:
FahCore_15.exe: Default Priority, HIGH, CPU Affinity, 1
    FahCore_a3.exe: Default Priority, Idle, CPU Affinity, 0 2 3 4 5 6 7

So, my GPU's get to use 1 core, the CPU the rest.

Well for my 980X and 3 GPUs, I've got -12 going with Process Lasso.
I don't run -bigadv because I can't afford to leave my setup alone for 3 days.
Remember after each of these to go into Options > Check Forced mode: Reapply process priorities and affinities if they change.
There are two situations which require some toggling:

#1 When the GPUs are going at a 925/912 OPENMMGPU WU (FahCore_15.exe), because they require a heightened amount of CPU usage I have the GPUs on Default Priority Normal and Default CPU Affinity 2,4
For the SMP (FahCore_a3.exe) the Default Priority Idle and Default CPU Affinity is every core except 2, which I have unchecked.
#2 When the GPUs are chugging through 611 OPENMMGPU WUs (10632) (FahCore_15.exe) there isn't much CPU usage that leaks in so leave the GPUs on Default Priority Normal and Default CPU Affinity 2,4 however
For the SMP (FahCore_a3.exe) the Default Priority Idle and this time the Default CPU Affinity is fine on absolutely all cores, including 2.
    Hope this helps!

So today I woke up and my GTS 450's were getting 2,xxx ppd! I was like ****. I opened EVGA precision and the load on the gpu's were all over the place! Do you  know what causes this?

I said screw this. Downloaded Process Lasso and configured it the same as what you have. My gpus are now pumping out 14,200/14,900 ppd on 912/925 wu. Thank you very much for the help.

When I use my computer (3hours a day max) I surf the web, transfer file, and sometimes listen to itunes.

should I have a certain config for the time Im at work or different one for when I'm on my computer?
should I put the FahCore_a3.exe on high, realtime, etc?

With Process Lasso, you can go for smp -8 and just uncheck one of the cores on the CPU.
As for the GPUs spiking all over the place, do you have SLI enabled? If so, disable it.

You'd get benefit from Lasso if you were running -8.

so you think i will get better ppd if i use -8 and two gts 450 instead of -7 and two gts 450?

    Hope this helps!

thank you very  much for the great info!
I do have a few questions. The I fold 24/7 and I'm away from my computer about 20 hours (work/sleep). How should I set Process Lasso????

    I currently have
    -smp 7 for CPU bigadv
FahCore_15.exe: Default Priority, HIGH, CPU Affinity, 1
    FahCore_a3.exe: Default Priority, Idle, CPU Affinity, 0 2 3 4 5 6 7
this is what jpeck2009 suggested and I did it really quick right before I left for work so I didn't read much into it.
When I use my computer (3hours a day max) I surf the web, transfer file, and sometimes listen to itunes.

should I have a certain config for the time Im at work or different one for when I'm on my computer?
should I put the FahCore_a3.exe on high, realtime, etc?

Thank you very much for the excellent help!

With Process Lasso, you can go for smp -8 and just uncheck one of the cores on the CPU.
As for the GPUs spiking all over the place, do you have SLI enabled? If so, disable it.

    ok thank you.
the i have only enabled sli once a few days back when I did a vantage run. I will double check SLI is not enabled. I am sure that its not running sli mode, but i will check anyhow

I'm not sure if anybody else has come across this but I found that when I tried running -smp 8 and then unchecking a core with process lasso that it raised my TPF vs using -smp 7 and unchecking one core with process lasso. Have you tried it both ways SirJames? My results could have ended up that way for some other reason.

Edit: I screwed up how the quote is showing
