Hi,
i really hope someone can help me, because i dont have any more ideas. Some month ago i got a 2080 ti ultra. I use it as an egpu with my macbook pro. For the first few month everything worked perfect.
Then 1 month ago the card just does not heat up and give good fps. It works, but i basically only get 10% of what it should be. Even in Windows it feels laggy while browsing. In Dota 2 for example if i use the lowest graphic quality i get only 30fps. The strange thing is if i do everything ultra, i get basically the same frames.
 
What i tried till now:
 
- DDU reistalled different drivers
- Reinstalled Windows
- Checked in Afterburner
- installed Evga precison 1
- Energy settings in windows
- checked if it is loose somehow
- checked cables
- read for ages online to find a fix
 
 Basically when i go into a game it doesnt heat up at all and stays around 55c. It feels like it does not switch on or something.
 
One more strange thing. When i use geekbench benchmark tool, it works and heats up and i get a good score. But everything else it just does not work.
 
Anyone with ideas?

thanks for the answer but this cant be because i also reinstalled formated and reinstalled windows. I had the same with a fresh install. I will double check but i dont think so.
 
The framerate fluctate, it is not fixed at 30, wrote that in a bad way.
 
One time it worked in dota 2 for a minute until i tapped out and after that it was bad again. Forgot to write this. (i just use dota 2 as an example in pubg for example its a slide show)

What is the card clocking up to?

I have an ultrawide curved monitor with 3440x1440. Can you tell me what 10s settings is?
 

Looks like that.
 

Try switching power mode to adaptive.  This happened to me a few months ago and this was the only setting to fix my issue.

PrefCap Reason says idle in your screen shot ?  What did it say While the benchmark was active ?

When you run time Spy ---> please ---> Post the Link to your Score

Yes, i checked both settings mutiple times.

Here are the 3dmark results.
 
I run newest nvidia driver but i tested with multiple drivers and removed in safemode with ddu. Also reinstalled windows and so on.
 
I run bootcamp.
 
No errors in device manager.

it looks like my cpu is not going to turbo (see screenshot)
